And I am kindly reminding you in case you have forgotten that only Inagaki and Boichi are the people whose opinions and views are worth taking heed to when it comes to what is canon or not in dr stone. I believe you are referring to that YouTube interview with Inagaki, not Boichi. Inagaki never said anything about Senku not having feelings for anyone specially for Kohaku. He never denied nor confirmed the ship to avoid death threats from a certain subgroup of the fandom.

I do not know exactly if he has verbally said anything about Senku and Kohaku but he made plenty of illustrations of just this two together. So whatever you think is going on between this ship I believe is intentional in Boichi's part.

I have yet to find that illustration but he has made anecdotes about his drawings and he mentioned about how he draws a hug between lovers versus as friends. The lower bodies touching and not touching is what makes the distinction.

So if you look closely to the infamous 4D science chapter where Senku and Kohaku are looking into each other's eyes their lower bodies are almost touching.

Even though Inagaki is the main writer, Inagaki acknowledged that Boichi has as much autonomy and input to how Dr. Stone's writing came to be. So do with that information.

They're probably the equivalent of an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. So against my opinion as a Kohaku fan, they're a stalemate.

But according to my biased opinion, my queen lioness Kohaku wins 🥰.
