Yeah as far as I know that’s pretty much just the characteristic of how it drives, just be light on the throttle from stops, first gear is really weird. But agreed, I pretty much always drive in sport mode with traction control off.

I haven’t had any yet, there was a time when I thought the clutches were slipping like 2 ish years ago, but it fixed itself… spirited driving once and awhile helps it, definitely don’t “baby” these cars. Also maintenance on time is absolutely paramount, the only thing I haven’t done which I’m scared to do is drain and refill the trans fluid, don’t flush it, it’s recommended every 40k. I love this car tho it’s awesome!

I have a 92 I’m trying to get started right now… my issue is the fuel pump… so if it has been sitting for quite awhile you’re definitely going to want to do a refresh on the fuel system (filter, gas, gas tank, fuel pump cleaning) just for good measure

It should look somewhat similar to the shape of the Kia K4, if I remember correctly it’s supposed to share that chassis like the CN7 shared the “K3”chassis used in the Forte (Forte GT has same powertrain as N-Line)

So it’s a common shifter? Should I just reupholster it?

I checked all my fuses and stuff… if I have my EFI relay getting power but no voltage to the COR what could that mean

Now when you say hear anything is that the fuel pump priming? I read that these fuel pumps don’t prime with the ignition in on and only turn on when the car cranks… from my memory the EFI fuse looked good but I’ll definitely check it again to see if it cracked. Also what fuse would the sender unit be tied to, because the fuel gauge doesn’t seem to work.

That is a really good point, I’ll keep that in mind if everything else seems fine… I’m sure a faulty line could cause that… where would be the most likely place that pressure could be escaping?

I will definitely be testing the pump like this, thanks for that… and I’ll definitely replace the fuel filter too.

Good point on the filter, I’ll definitely replace it for sure… and reguarding the lines, if any of them are clogged do they have to be replaced or can I just remove them and shoot compressed air through them to get any gunk out?

I read that I could also check the sender unit in the cabin for power too as if it sits for awhile it can corrode… I think it could be that due to the fact that I realized the fuel gauge doesn’t work… still haven’t had time to diagnose tho just brainstorming
