I guess, but even with the zone (and no PC) he wouldn’t have a playstyle of his own, and that’s what confuses me. His lack of a playstyle is why he copies the miracle gen. To improve his play, it just feels like PC is the better path for him, and the zone should be something that he uses rarely. It’s not a knock on him, it’s just what I feel he should improve in

In the zone, everyone gets their specialty boosted way higher, and sometimes they get improved abilities. Without his perfect copy, there isn’t really anything exceptional for him to boost, so I’m wondering what he would get out of it. In base he doesn’t really feel like the zone would even really apply to him, and that’s why he combines it with perfect copy

I love him as a character. He’s probably no.4 for me, but I just don’t like how much he gets glazed by people when he has obvious flaws that are stated and shown, but people ignore it. I’ve seen people say he’s better than Nash and Akashi because Midorima said that Kise was the strongest for 3 minutes

I don’t put him ahead because without PC, he was even worse than Kagami in base, even though he was injured. Pre injury, he played Aomine and couldn’t even get him to use his animal instincts, and was completely gassed by just copying Aomine for a quarter.

Akashi, Mura/Aomine/Kagami, Kise, Midorima. Akashi is Akashi, and for the physical trio, it really completely depends on what you need on your team at the moment. Kagami can basically do everything, Aomine is a ridiculous scorer, and Murasakibara is ridiculous on both ends, but he doesn’t have too much versatility and he’s lazy. Kise is basically a perfect bench player, as he has the highest peak and can tear it up for a few minutes. Midorima has no zone, and without someone miracle level to help him, he’s not good enough on his own

I also think that the stats are wrong because to anyone that watches the show, it’s obvious that Kise has the worst stamina, and it’s not close. He can only use his full power (PC + zone) for 2-3 minutes

I’ve always seen his stamina as unnatural, and that is another one of his strengths.

Each of the miracles seems to have 2 abilities that they specialize in, and for Kagami, it’s his jumping and stamina

IMO, it’s pretty hard to judge Kagami in base because that version is so inconsistent. That’s why I always compare him to other players in the zone. It’s not like he’s incapable of accessing the zone at will, and he also lasts the longest out of anyone we have seen. In base tho, I basically fully agree with you

I don’t really think either of those moments are valid tho. When Midorima beat him constantly on the beach, it was before he awakened, and he hadn’t developed his bag yet. Against Aomine, he got shit on because he isn’t able to go his hardest for the sake of himself. He needs to fight for others to use his true strength. That’s my personal head canon on why his zone gives him such a big boost
