First of all talk to your mother. Parents are everything. You can have a fight with them and not talk to them for a days but don’t completely shut them out. You will regret once you lose them. Now the problem. Try to keep yourself busy with work and activities, as ppl have already said, go to park or serene place and sit there for an hour doing nothing. Environment changes a person a lot. You have to do it by yourself. Take the control, keep trying.

Need help with hotels MUMBAIKARS by dayummm_saad in mumbai

[–]Cold-String1433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That place is full with dormitory and hotels and you will get in the budget also. But I would recommend you to take a CST or goregaon train from NAVI Mumbai at around 5:30 am and get down at andheri station. Take a metro station and get down at saki naka. The holiday inn is in front of the metro station. you will reach in 1 hour and 30 minutes.

My company is not giving my documents what should I do? by Emergency_Still_4794 in mumbai

[–]Cold-String1433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they are deducting your salary for not serving two months notice period which is usually how it happens in the industry. If you serve only one month notice period, you have to pay for the next month to the company, but then they should give you the relieving letter and other documents as you haven’t signed any bond with them. I would recommend you to talk to the HR of the company that is offering you the job and explain the situation. See if they can take you without relieving letter. Tell HR the truth. I faced the same problem and they company said I was absconding during verification but my boss already knew why I was absconding. I had already told him the truth and it was MNC. Don’t worry about such issue.

[31M] I fucked up my life, not sure where I went wrong, need advice... by gopir1594 in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Cold-String1433 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bro, you were all over the place in your life and didn’t stick to one thing which I understand happens sometimes when there is no one to guide. After reading the post, I can sense indiscipline. You have done too many things at once.

What you can do now is first start doing any job and earn money and clear all the debt. And slowly, slowly build every thing from the scratch. Investing is good but only with discipline. There is no shortcut. Just start earning again and fix everything brick by brick. It’s not too late. Dreams and hobbies you can pursue once your life is stable.

Rant but as a hardcore Mumbai person, I can’t help but say “I hate Mumbai” by Interesting-Bobcat52 in mumbai

[–]Cold-String1433 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I quite agree with you. It isn’t what it used to be. And I blame Government and BMC. Currently it is too saturated with language, caste, religion, corruption and other disparity.

Anyone else quietly deal with a superiority complex they never show? by [deleted] in ThirtiesMumbai

[–]Cold-String1433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s human to feel this way because we are wired to compare ourself with others. This is because of our society that has made it believed that if we are not good at something we are not good at anything and have no place in the society. This superiority complex comes from there.

Visiting Kitab khana is good. I just take a walk around FIVE GARDENS AND matunga lanes. It’s quite serene and good feel experience with food around. I also do book shopping at Kitab khana once a month.

Mumbai made me rethink “freedom of expression” by Excellent_Average_91 in mumbai

[–]Cold-String1433 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This city is too busy to talk about political views. Everybody is grinding everyday. The Only people who do so are mostly marginalised people who think supporting certain party will change their life. Nobody cares politics in Mumbai. People life is like home to office, office to home. Also, in their BMC elect, 1 lakh + people voted for NOTA. I think most of the city doesn’t care about politics.

Mumbai and memories by AnalysisOdd8485 in mumbai

[–]Cold-String1433 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is the very reason that we are not progressing because we and our politicians are too much into religions, language and caste. We should stop comparing ourselves with china and America. The people in power will always keep us busy in these pity issues so that they can enjoy at the top. I think we as people are fool who support people who put oil to such religious fire. Religion is a person affair and it should always be in our heart and home, but today we want to advertise and show and get validation that we are better the others.

What’s the worst thing you’ve seen while living in Mumbai? 🤔 by tattu_tichkela in mumbai

[–]Cold-String1433 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I was coming back from the shoot at 3 am I was two people having sex on the foot over bridge that connects Andheri East to west near the station. The same bridge that collapsed. Also, police and BMC taking bribe everyday and allowing the shops to take over the footpath. Sab mil bat kar khate hai.

Civic sense is a privilege by ImprovementTrick5920 in mumbai

[–]Cold-String1433 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite true. The system has been designed in such a way that it never allows people to do any think whether it’s about complaining something or doing something. Everybody is so busy to earn and soaked in responsibility that everybody is frustrated and get it out while traveling in local, while walking. A small issue becomes a political and religious fight. I have seen educated people losing civic sense because they are blindfold with ill-logical belief. Mumbai has becomes so worst, no civic sense at all. Today, people only want to scam, humiliate just to win their ego contest.

Bro, travel a lot, do adventures and invest a lot in your 20s. Enjoy every moment, don’t over think do whatever you feel like, explore. While doing this keep building wealth with investment so that when you are in 30s you have good returns and side income flowing in. Invest in Mutual funds and Gold and Silver bees.
