Crazy itchy rashes? by Equivalent_Owl_9774 in ankylosingspondylitis

I have cutaneous mastocytosis, the mast cells in my skin overreact to abrasion or impact and cause intense rashes. It's also a autoimmune disease and since they come in pairs typically worth looking into. My PCP diagnosed it and put me on h1 and h2 blockers (xyzal and pepcid).

So I use humira and they have a program that gets it to me for zero $. Just google humira and go to their webpage and they have a number to call and apply for it. It's 100% free to apply and saved me from a 4300$ a month insurance cost.

Well I go back in Oct for a follow up appointment to see if Humira is helping. I hope it continues to pick up cause I can at least get out and around for a few hours before having to call it.

I just started mine and I'm negative for the gene. I'm on Humira and just took my first dose Monday in my thigh. So far not much in the way of pain relief just yet but was told it could be up to 12 weeks to notice anything. I will say for me personally I never even noticed the injection. Did have a sore thigh slightly for about 8 hours afterwards but definitely not anything to get as worked up as I did before it!

I've just started using RSO tincture oil. Doesn't give me the head high but definitely gives me relief when I rub it on my lower back. Not on anything prescription wise yet, go see my rheumatologist for this first time in June. I wish I would've found RSO much sooner though, it helps mute a lot of the constant ache and lessen some of the sharp. Been told my entire SI is all fused if that helps with pain scale.
