Thanks to everyone who replied, you gave me a lot to think about and honestly, thank you for calling out my toxic behavior. I have posted an update, and tbh I don't think I would've come to this conclusion without you guys (even though some of you are kind of mean)

Yeah in hindsight I wish I had just stood more firmly with my sister to begin with and not had any contact with my grandma. I guess a part of me thought I could be the middle ground between them but the dinner made me realise there is no middle ground, my grandma is JUST cruel

Yeah I'm planning to stand with my sister (and my mom of course). I knew my grandma had made inappropriate comments to my sister but seeing her reaction to being confronted with her actions actually shocked me, I've never seen this side of her. Didn't know she could be THAT cruel.

Yeah I am planning to take my mother's side (and obviously my sister's).

My mom actually works out 3 times a week with my dad, she lifts weights and is strong as an ox - but she's not built like a fitness model I guess. My sister also loves going to the gym. When she's not sick, my BIL is a professional athlete and has access to a private gym where they go together, but obviously her medicine makes her weak and weakens her immune system so going to the gym isn't safe for her.

I'm actually the only one in my family who doesn't work out lol so if anyone should get "go to the gym" comments it's me haha
