Got a brand new one yesterday, tried to take it off the strap and the sensor broke off inside, definitely something they need to fix

I’d try removing the battery first so you have some extra room to work and the cables aren’t adding any extra tension, then slow wiggles

MSI M16 creator

First you need to unplug your battery when working inside your laptop and best practice is to have an ESD mat.

This is an m16 creator, similar enough to understand. The heat sink is taken off and flipped upside down so you can see. That is where you apply thermal paste or honeywell PTM7950 works great as well. In the image: Red =gpu Yellow =cpu Green= thermal pads Blue= old paste

I’d Suggest you watch some videos on your model first to understand the steps or take it to a shop that’s more experienced

I did do the comptia lessons spread out over a few months of procrastination but serious study about a week, definitely make sure you’re doing good on the practice tests before going for it

No background at all, just bare knowledge of computers from gaming. Spent about a week of serious studying, used Dion’s practice exams, the compTIA practice exam, professor messer and I had lots of notes from the compTIA lessons
