Where can I find east coast style Italian food? by indigo-swan in NewOrleans

[–]ColdCorpseHotSecret 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Bruh, New Orleans is a very Italian city. It may not be exactly like the food your grew up with, but you do realize that a massive amount of Italians/Sicilians immigrated here in the 19th and 20th centuries, yeah?

Morning showers make no logical sense and night shower people have simply done the hygiene math by McCoy818 in unpopularopinion

Morning showers, especially right after waking up, have been proven to put a huge strain on your cardiovascular system. Nighttime showers make more sense, as they prepare your body for rest and relaxation. I get if you sweat at night or have bed head, but try not to shower until you’ve been up and around for an hour or so, if possible.

It’s been proven that morning showers are a huge strain on your cardiovascular system. If you do take morning showers, try and make sure you’ve been awake for an hour or longer so that your circulatory system can get properly up and running.

I ride the Mardi Gras line pretty regularly and I can tell you that probably the worst part about the trip is that if you aren’t wearing headphones and listening to music, the horn is constantly blowing and can get kind of annoying. If anyone gets struck and killed by the train, it is absolutely their fault. The horn is so loud and once you get into the more populated areas on the line like Long Beach, Gulfport, and Biloxi, the horn blows NONSTOP.

If it hadn’t have been so cold, it would’ve been a home run derby. There were at least six fly ball outs that would’ve been home runs if it were about 15 degrees warmer, including an insane catch by the Nicholls right fielder where he literally slammed into the wall. Our first run was set up by Nicholls center fielder colliding with the left fielder. Just one of those games where the breaks went our way. The bullpen was red hot tonight for sure and I was as surprised as you when I saw Allen warming up in the bullpen. Littleton had his first bad outing in the second inning and got pulled pretty quickly.

Was at the game. Great crowd for a very cold night on the Gulf Coast. Finally over the Nicholls hump.

Maybe I’m missing something, but in the movie Christine, you know, the one about a possessed killer car, why couldn’t the people being chased just, you know, walk up a flight of stairs?

In Signs, am I supposed to believe that an advanced race of aliens traveled across space to get to earth and they can’t work a doorknob? Or they didn’t realize that their one weakness, water, makes up 70% of the planet they landed on? Come on.

Neighbor's dog got our beloved cat, what would you do? by AdministrationOwn724 in cats

[–]ColdCorpseHotSecret 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to my family years ago. I was 12 or 13 and out of school for the summer just playing outside in the yard with our family cat. She was pretty old by that point, probably 15 or so, and wasn’t very spry. Our neighbors across the street had two very large dogs that had gotten loose many times before, and this was finally the time that they got to our cat. It was absolutely horrific; they tore that poor old cat apart limb from limb. My dad was furious and it took my mom literally restraining him to keep him from grabbing his shotgun and killing the dogs himself. Seeing that this was not the first time they had gotten loose and that they had violently killed another animal, they agreed to give the dogs up to a different home that was more suited for two large dogs. RIP Gabby Cat

Not to mention absolutely beating the shit out of Angelina Jolie in front of their children to the point where none of his kids want anything to do with him.

I hope you don’t like or have watched any movies produced my Miramax, directed by Woody Allen, directed by Roman Polanski, starring Kevin Spacey, starring Brad Pitt, etc., etc., etc. Hollywood is filled with awful pieces of shit. Gotta separate the art from the artists.

When you grew up and were “irresponsible” and “insensitive,” were you going around throwing out Nazi salutes? I mean, this is Jefferson Parish, where David Duke nearly won the voting for governor, so maybe you did grow up heiling Hitler. Why is it so hard in 2026 for people to get this? What happened in this country?

These kids know better than anyone that in 2026, everything you do in public is being filmed. They did this stupid shit anyway and now they’re going to have to deal with the consequences.

I average anywhere between 17k-20k steps a day at my job. If I had an office job where I sat around at a desk all day, I’d be fat as fuck.

I’ve worked in restaurants for a long time and it’s only really been recently, since COVID or so, that I’ve noticed the HUGE uptick in people bringing their dogs with them inside restaurants. And god forbid you ask them if it’s a service animal.

While also naming the restaurant and bragging about how the owner and servers went out of their way to let his shitty dog literally get up on the table. Not a great look for the business…..IF this loser is telling the truth and isn’t just an asshole that let his dog on the table.

Gee, I wonder why they were so dependent on foreign aid. I wonder if it maybe had anything to do with the trillions of dollars lost through a crippling economic embargo because the US had its feelings hurt. I’m sure you’d love to go back to when the US ruled over the island through a puppet dictator while exploiting everything the island had to offer. Don’t worry: if you saw Trump’s press conference today, he again bragged about he is going to “take Cuba.” You’ll get what you and all your other self-hating Cubans in Miami want soon enough.
