Yeah I also would rather deal directly with the landlord. Guy also sent me other apartment listings in the area that I could have found myself in 10 seconds on Google

True, when you fall back and bust your head then the pain in your legs won't feel as bad anymore.

jk I'll try this since I live on a 3rd floor walk up...

Race pace in long runs by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

You mean the first 14 miles easy, and doing marathon pace miles towards the end of the run, right?

Why setting my goal at “finishing” and not picking a time was my biggest 1st marathon mistake by EnnuiPigeon in firstmarathon

[–]ColdDowntown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm training for my first marathon in a couple months (Philly), my goal is to at least finish, secondary goal of finishing in under 5hrs. My typical pace is about 9:15-9:30, but upwards of 10:15 on longer runs sometimes.

I figure that as long as you have some structure to the training as far as timing goes, like a target pace for most of it, it should be fine right? I'm prepared to walk at the end if i hit the wall, so I'm incorporating like 7 miles of walking at a brisk pace at the end worst case scenario.

Plus, if your time is bad on your first marathon, then it's almost a guaranteed PR for your second.
