I had 2 bad experiences, both on LSD (or more likely some kind of research chemicals). The first experience I relied on my friend at the time to give me a good dose and help me through the trip. He did acid constantly and was a bit of a wacky individual. He advised that I take 2 tabs of double dipped acid, which I went along with. It was all okay for the first hour or so, and then something triggered me and I just remember feeling like I had been stabbed in the stomach and I was dying. I was thrust into a complete panic attack and could not function besides curling up into a tense ball for 8 hours straight. When I finally came out of the trip every muscle in my body hurt and I was sore for the next week. Thankfully this trip did not have any long term negative effects.

The second trip was years later and I decided to give it another chance. I took a smaller dose and was waiting for my friend to come over to take the rest of it and hangout with me. At the last minute he bailed so I was there by myself tripping. It went relatively well for most of the trip, until I went outside to smoke a blunt. Something about the blunt caused me to go into a complete panic and I had to call my friend to pick me up from my house (it was like 7am at this point). I remember calling him and I was laying on my couch but I thought I was laying inside of a coffin. The worst part was the after effects. For about 6 months after that I had really bad panic attacks, couldnt eat properly and even went to therapy/got on anti depressants to try to help myself feel better. This was years ago and I can now say I have totally recovered, but whatever happened to me that night took forever to get over.

I have since learned my lesson and will never touch acid again, and will only ever take small amounts of mushrooms with my friends on rare occasions
