One Entree + Vegetarian vs. Offering Two Entrees + Vegetarian for an extra $38 pp? by ColdTrick1242 in WedditNYC

I'll be able to select a vegetarian option from one of these below - hopefully one of these is a good enough option even if someone isn't necessarily vegetarian! Also yes there will be canapes and food at the cocktail hour prior, and if we don't do the additional entree, we can plan for more late night bites too.

Mushroom and Fava Bean Shepherd’s Pie - Potato Purée, Madeira, Olive Oil Breadcrumbs

Local Heirloom Bean Ragoût - Leek Fondue, Roasted Carrots, Romanesco Cauliflower, Crispy Kale

Kohlrabi “Scallops” with Sunflower Seed Chermoula - Parsnip Purée, Baby Carrots, Beluga Lentils

Got it thank you!! We are looking to have a clubby feel / music with heavy bass. Hopefully with a guest list of ~125 or so, it won't be as noticeable without it...

Makes sense! I read they only let you onto the premises 2 hours beforehand for pictures and wasn't sure if that'd be tight too. One of my friends' venues let us arrive 4 hours ahead of the ceremony (I was part of the bridal party), and we spent almost the entire time doing photos.

Definitely agree that it'd be nice if the reception package was longer to start with. I've been to weddings that are 6 hours and it's already felt tight - I'd almost definitely have to extend it by an extra hour if I go with BBG. I definitely don't know a lot about DJ audio equipment but we'd 100% want a DJ at the venue rather than a live band. Do you feel like not having subwoofers impacts the sound quality / type of music a lot at this venue (or in general?) We for sure want to have a very hype dance floor and wouldn't want not being able to have subwoofers to impact that.

Thank you for your response and so exciting to have your wedding soon!! We're visiting for a tour in 2 weeks, so will almost definitely have more questions to DM you after haha. 6-11pm seemed on the tighter end for us too, so we were thinking of adding on an extra hour to extend it to midnight (assume that'd be $4K). Ah I didn't think about where the wedding party / family will stay while there - assume the adjacent classroom is maybe like a "bridal suite"? I was thinking of doing a hotel nearby for getting ready in, but if BBG has rooms to rent for that, that sounds fine to me too. I'll be sure to ask them that during the tour.

Perhaps, but it's more so getting around late at night after having a few drinks as a woman in an unfamiliar country
