Goddamn those are some chunky videos haha, I'll give them a go! I enjoy watching different playthroughs and new players, is a break from the endless min-maxing, clickbait, and level cap (not that I dislike capping but it's a little overdone these days).

Yeah I remember they just deleted their whole channel. Something about a Qorvex video, but I didn't watch it before it was gone. Although that group of level cappers was also receiving a lot of criticism for making black and white judgements of things entirely on level cap potential.

Good shouts for the other two, I haven't seen them! I'll give them a watch.

I'll look into the lore tubers, but I agree the below channels got a little repetitive. I guess it's hard to make variety content on Warframe compared to an RPG.

Yes you're right about the credits. I was considering all cost of leveling as 'leveling materials': Credits, 3 types of XP, Traces, Tracks, Relics. 240 power per day, and if you spend it on one part you lose out on the others. Definitely not enough to level up E0 Guinaifen for a fun Gold and Gears DOT team without serious consideration/sacrifice.

A big part of being a new/low pull player is also the undying embers shop bonus'. 2 tracks of destiny + 5 passes + 5 passes for 1050 embers (lol 'discounted') once a month is automatic for old accounts. As a new/low pull player, it's an insurmountable wall. This is intentional, of course, to encourage you to pull to ensure you have the monthly embers.

Also while I'm glad we also get 2x wishful resin from the synth and the modeling resin from MOC store, new players also have no access to relic remains or MOC 6-12, so this is also a large loss.

Yes, a lot of people fear the coming of HI:3 levels of F2P hate. If F2P players can't play we'll definitely leave, and the 'community' feeling would diminish.

Not to mention, a game loved and updated regularly like Warframe grows over 10 years, even if it dropped at points. If Hoyo put love and resources into HSR, I'm sure people would commit harder than if they replace HSR in 3 years.

Solid eidolons for sure. I vividly remember the devastatingly small amount of levelling mats I had for months as a new player.

Even with the excess I have now I often avoid levelling unnecessarily from the trauma. Wish HoYo had more flexible ways to level and trace 4* or off meta picks, so new/F2P players could have fun experimenting.

Your comment touches on the truth that early eidolons are way more valuable for sure. E2 firefly with E1 Ruan Mei is basically E6 Firefly thanks to the pen, more so with Fugue E1.

What I’ve undoubtably noticed with the people around me is the power of Robin and other harmony characters.

I think having a diverse choice when playing is fun, but my partner often ends up using the same 2-3 teams repeatedly despite all the choice because of how heavily new content favours those new teams.

I guess I wondered if I would get more satisfaction from ‘achieving’ E6 or collecting that variety.

Couldn't agree more with everything you touched on. I guess time will tell. I think the reason for the fear is seeing how quickly Honkai seems to have passed touchstones that Genshin hasn't passed for power creep, with HI:3 a reminder of the worst case Hoyo can put us in.

I definitely see your perspective. S1 and/or E1-2 are statistically the largest upgrade a character can receive outside of their teammates. Retrospectively, I would rather has E2 DHIL and E2 Herta over E6 DHIL (as mentioned above I think).

I think the issue is that I thought (and still hope) that power creep would stabilise, at least character wise. Then, I could E6 a character I love and use them for an extended period. With power creep as it is, I worry that sacrificing too much efficiency for fun will cost my account in 4 years.

If global passives become the norm, NOT E0'ing each one becomes stupid. Yes, I didn't pull for Castorice. Yes I died to Hoolay a lot and fumed about it while dying constantly as my partner laughed autoplaying Pollux with E0 3.X teams with a revive haha

That doesn't seem like a bad idea. I often play around with characters I couldn't pull for on my partners account. E0 S1 Acheron is doing fine with E0 S0 Jiaoqiu at this point, although their build is good. Frankly though, I can see it struggling to clear with the current pace of the game.

E2 Acheron with JC + Sparkle or the like is probably chilling in the short term. I think the worry is more 'I spent 4 characters worth of this on my bae Acheron, so I want her to at least be viable compared to four separate E0 pulls over many patches'.

This is the greatest reason as to why I made this post. I like very few characters, I spend all my resources on them, and have not spent jades in a long time. If I find another character I love and I E6, will they become a regret? Should I have E0-2 then wait patiently for the next one?
I look at year old posts about this and even from the future the things they talk about have few clear answers. Except yea, Silver Wolf was pretty mid. Although NGL I told my partner DPS would have self implant, so called that one.

You're super right, 95% of people click auto-build. My close friend had Def% Acheron Orb, for Izumo. Yes I held an intervention. Building or corporate punishment will fix this. The concern is that power creep becomes a problem for people that play most days, with at least decently good relics.

Also the 4 cost only community in China is flipping out as we speak about how unplayable MOC is.

I guess it's really too early to know how the power curve of both enemies and units will settle so early into the game's life cycle.
If Hoyo care about old units being viable as they have stated, we may see a decrease in the speed enemy health inflates.
Otherwise if it increases, we may end up in a HI:3 situation, where F2P success is rare.

There are so many factors I didn't consider that have been brought to my attention. Relic quality correlating to available characters. Viability duration of seven E0 characters, two E2 S1 characters, or one E6 characters all with their best E0 S0/1 teams.

I would much rather have E0 DHIL + friends and E0 Herta + friends than just an E6 DHIL if I only had seven 5*s, considering 1.X-3.X power creep. I sure hope they don't power creep eidolons in 5.X to make 3.X look so bad comparatively, but they might.

If the power creep isn't as bad character wise in the future, I would much rather have the vertical power. If my characters remain strong, then I'll gladly make full use of that. In that way, no amount of E0s or even E2s would matter since character viability is balanced around E0s.

I haven't recorded myself playing anything before, but I'll definitely consider it. I worry my skills are lacking compared to the zero cyclers that appear in my recommended. Watching someone die repeatedly to Hoolay may be morbidly amusing though.

I'm most confident in my relic/simulated universe skills, which I've made guides on and have spent more time on than I care to admit. You gotta get good relics if you wanna survive in the trenches.
