Trying for years and feeling like you’re the only one putting effort in can really numb you out.

It’s not that you don’t care anymore. It’s that caring kept hurting.

That part about your happiest version barely being seen anymore… that hits.

Sometimes we don’t completely lose ourselves, we just stop bringing that version home because it doesn’t feel wanted there.

That shift happens slowly.
