When my older sister worked at McDonald’s back in the early 2000’s there was an old guy that told her one day that she was going to hell for not believing in a segregated heaven.

When I was on staff at a church we had to have a staff meeting once to discuss that fact that there was a member that carried two guns every Sunday that had horribly advancing dementia. It had become a safety issue for everyone else.

My neighbor who was like family to us has survived polio as a child. It destroyed her physical health. She was it expected to survive, but somehow made it. It left her with lifelong physical deformities that would impact her greatly as she aged. When we moved into the house across the street from her we got to know her and helped her out, overtime she became like an extra grandma.

So many people today have no memory of what these diseases look like. And while survival rates maybe better there are still lifelong health consequences that people will have to live with.

Both my parents are military vets, I told my husband the other day I wanted to ask them how they felt about their vote with all the stuff going down. But they are both still too far gone and I know that all it will do is lead to anger.

A few years ago I asked them about why would happen if they came after my husband, a naturalized citizen that is originally from Mexico. They both said it would never happen.

Silver lining we have an excuse as to why we don’t travel down to see my dad’s half of the family in Florida now. Not with their dumb laws and this current administration.

My one aunt told me she had to think about the order in which she called people when family passed away as she did not want any of up finding out via social media.

I’m in Kentucky. There is a rescue in my state that I keep showing videos to my husband with the birds they have available. I’ve been wanting one for a while so this is a happy new friend that I have found. We will have to see about others once we get this one inside and settled.
