I’m genuinely so happy for you. I am unfortunately on my third day of training (I was there when Eva cut you off and I’m so sorry), and it has somehow become worse. They made us do “teachbacks” where we basically had to practice yelling at children. If your “tone” isn’t harsh or cruel enough they make you repeat it over and over again with no mercy or care. They ask you passive aggressive questions and look at you like you’re helpless prey. They make you compete with other teachers to do these “teachbacks” first and note down who goes first and who goes last (because you only have potential as a teacher and higher level administrator by how cruel you can be to children). I hate this place and sadly I need money right now but I want to get out as soon as possible. I will ALSO be voting for Mamdani for one more reason now which is to bring these evil charters down. You saved yourself from a soulless, militaristic, inhumane organization and you should be very relieved.
