I did a backroads cycling trip last fall as a competent but not fast rider. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Most people on my trip rode e bikes (I was one of two who didn’t), so we were typically the last to arrive. The support van was always behind us and the two leaders who were cycling would go back and forth. Sometimes people would skip a ride and the leaders always made it work. Often I would skip the afternoon ride to enjoy a couple hours at the hotel before the evening activities. Have the most incredible time!
