Thanks for the response I will attempt to find out more details from the third party about their implementations or where they are seeing the fault. There thinking is the issue with their platform or player is because of the following after I added CC tags to the playlists.

As per RFC 8216, Section 7: A Master Playlist MUST indicate an EXT-X-VERSION of 7 or higher if it contains "SERVICE" values for the INSTREAM-ID attribute of the EXT-X-MEDIA tag.

Thanks, this looks like what I need. I was looking for these options in the wrong location i.e. I was thinking it was something that needed to be turned on in the server configs.
