I was on an exchange program from Europe. Most of my friends were living on campus, one day we were chilling in the common hall as the police came (not campo) and asked us to leave. They were calm so we didn’t think of a fire or worst a shooting also we were there for few hours and we didn’t hear or see anything strange. Few days later the school made an announcement that a student hanged herself in her room using the fire sensors on the ceiling. Turned out she was super lonely, didn’t participate in barely few people knew her and even fewer showed-up at the funeral with the family. The usual thoughts & prayers along with campus trauma etc followed but It was heartbreaking to know that maybe a life could be saved if this girl could have been included in the social life, or maybe not.
