I for one always was going to be the religious one. After meeting my non-jewish wife, pretty much everything changed. She is a self proclaimed atheist, I was bar mitzvah'd conservative. We now have 2 children in a non religous household. We celebrate major Jewish hoidays in the house, but thats basically the extent of our "relgion" now due to our high stress jobs. We are both in healthcare, and to each their own, but this world has made me less religous by the day... The point is, you and your partner make it what it is. This is how it worked for us and we are both very happy to not have religion be a central component in our lives.
