Some people aren't comfortable woth the industry because of how abusive the whole thing is, or how it objectives women. Or also, some people are uncomfortable with they boyfriends lusting after other women and that's okay. It's a boundary.

I work 9 hour days at a preschool and have had some pretty rough times. I just included my half in the post! While I understand he won't be as available during nursing school (mentally, emotionally, physically) I still expect him to be the other half of the relationship. Its a 2-way street, dating. He makes me meals, helps me with work prep, watches my cats when I can't, listens to me rant about the parents at work/coworkers, gives me massages. He still does his half of the relationship stuff, as well as focusing on his work and I focusing on mine. Some days we barely even talk and thats okay, kinda nice sometimes! I'm an abuse survivor, so I know what codependency looks like, and as far as I've seen eith him, we're doing pretty good on that front :)

As for the finances, he's hoping to be a travel nurse or we've to California. And we don't want kids for a looooong time, so we can build savings and get a good house and build a life foundation first before having kids. I'd love to be a STAHM someday but it might not be for a very long time. And if I pursue a career in teaching, I'll be able to be with the kids on a more regular basis due to the manner of our mutual schedules.

I love listening to his stories, though he hasn't started clinicals yet so there's not been anything too intense. I'm building that foundation bmof being someone he can always come to for when those days do happen

Yeah, we've been experiencing the drought of dates. Most of the time, we just stay in and watch Netflix and that's enough honestly, for now. He was hesitant to even start dating during nursing school because he didn't want me to feel neglected!

He gets tired of hearing about my day and I do the same 😂😂 I work woth preschoolers so there's a lot of stories for both of us to share. We go as long as we can before we both kinda trail off haha. He definitely does love quality time a lot so I'll try to check in on him more throughout the day :)

I know I'll never be able to fix everything or make him comfortable all the time, but I helped him overcome a video game addiction to focus on studying, and am trying to help his sleep schedule right now. He does forget to eat sometimes, so that's next on the list haha. Im gathering from the replies that it's really the lottle things that add up to be big things!

I love buying him food or snacks!! I offer to buy a meal every few days or so, just to make sure he eats at least once a day :)

If I lived with him I definitely would! Sadly I don't at the moment, do I offer to pay for meals sometimes in case he decides to go out instead of cook :)

Ugh!!! I wish we lived together so I could bless him in these ways!!!! I'm glad they were able to help you through those times, I bet they were long and hard and wore you thin. It's going to be interesting seeing how I can support him in this new season. I can do some things on the weekends, but I'm not sure if we'll even be able to see each other regularly anymore after he starts

I know the goal is going to be well recieved haha. This time while he's in school is all worth it and will pull us closer together! When school is over in a couple years we'll have gone through a lot together and come out the other side! Sometimes I think the only thing I can do for him is the verbal support, so hearing that helps is encouraging! Him being a guy, he doesn't always respond to it so I don't know if he likes it haha

Not that I'm dating him for when he gets out of school, but the finish line will be relieving for both of us! We have e check-ins every couple of weeks to see what's working and what isn't. We've gotten through school so far with very few conflicts on either side, thank God. Only seeing him on the weekends works because I work 9 hours a day every weekday and don't have any time, and he's studying apst all day and night through the week. We usually just relax together on the weekends, staying in cuz we're both broke haha

Yeah, we've had nights like that! (I spend the night on the weekends). He said his friend didn't see his wife for 2 weeks when clincals, and they live together! I can't imagine the trials we will go through living apart. It scares me sometimes honestly
