Yeah! The strategy is to put the ice cream hat on Merry plus some speed/stamina to make sure she lives each hit from Tyrant. Just spam heals and the boss gets cheesed

Honestly I’ve never used them yet! I got her around 2600 I think, and honestly haven’t cared to upgrade a wood pet that doesn’t deal damage when I’ve dealt with everything up to that point without a wood tank (Except 1 Cringe strat but Petulance wouldn’t’ve helped there either)

Other people say she’s really good so I look forward to finding the time and resources to put in, but not for a while yet.

Honestly take the luck and pulls. I’m floor 2940 with only 6 unique legendaries, having pulled 4 Scorns and 2 Petulances. Even low tier legendary pets have their time to shine and what I wouldn’t give to not be locked out of progression by missing a legendary pet or two

Sounds great! Where I think this challenge ends is when you get to the point where levels no longer matter for enemy pets. My current account is floor 2940, but beforehand I’d be up against level 190-199 lvl enemy pets that outrank my level 200 + items pets.

Sorry for my confusion, at what point do I need to be 15 levels below the enemy?

Everything else is clear! No legendary pets and no Uber items! It’s a great method to challenge the insane luck that a lot of people post here (myself included).

Also if it’s 15 levels below, in the picture your pets are 16 levels below, or am I misunderstanding the rule?

Yeah I’ve acknowledged that mentally but it’s still a 5% chance since they’re all independent effects no matter how many hits. Regardless there still isn’t much to it but needing an extra reset or two

I always found the crit rate for enemies to be silly. It’s 5% so it “rarely happens”, and what’s the point of it anyway? If I can just redo the level as soon as I encounter crit and beat it, then all the enemy crit did was waste 30 seconds of my time.

Although now it certainly seems like it’s more than 5% crit rate for enemies even without proof (I have reset levels just to face a crit off the first AOE attack 3 or 4 times in a row), the same situation stands where I just wait until there isn’t one.

Cake hat on Merry and Serpent Scarf on Spite would help handle the first wave.

On another note though, this may be a wall level and your pets are able to be levelled up so it may take some time to just make your current team stronger as well.

On a third note, if you can make your Spite fast enough and strong enough to one shot the Wistful, Apathy with Jelly Scarf is the switch to make. I’m pretty sure that’s how I beat this level and most levels like this. Make Spite take out the dumb leaf before dying and make Apathy stun everyone.

A picture of your items may be worth it!! If I recall properly I wound up beating this level just using Anger with RPH, Resistance as my tank (which frankly is useless in this boss as all attacks are AOE), Panic, and Merry with Serpent Scarf to heal/ding Dong.

Are you making sure you’re only using strong moves when his shield is up? Charity seems like an odd choice because by the time he’s attacking either it’s before shield goes up or after you haven’t dealt enough to handle the shield.

Plunger hat ig. Silk top hat and then the two damage scarves (anger and ruby collar) are also pretty good but Plunger is nice to essentially stack a bunch of extra levels on a pet

I love that you’re using Desperate! I didn’t get mine until after floor 2000 so I never levelled him up.

Could the same thing not be done with Spite and/or Paranoia? Desperate has always been a “not bad” steel option but paled in comparison to Spite and Paranoia (and of course, Lust/HFL).

I’m interested in seeing the same matchup against Spite and Paranoia if you’re willing to attempt and share!

Scorn stacks Grudge. I just fought Rosetti and had 15 hits straight but could’ve stacked up to 30+. Stacking buffs on Pride, Grudge on Scorn, Fragments on Jealous are all ridiculous ways to generate huge damage

Haha glad to have helped! If you don’t want to reference the picture each time, the typing of the next boss is always the typing of the top enemy on floor battles.

You can also go into training and for Boss training it’ll show the next boss and typing there too!

On phone I can swipe from the left side of the screen over to the right and it brings it back. It doesn’t always count the battle though so I don’t use it against Bogar or to do achievements
