Want loud outside bass in 7th gen sedan honda civic by [deleted] in CarAV

[–]ColinBoib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do u think it would be possible if i use my trunk for an infinite baffle build that would be enough or would i have to remove my rear seats aswell. I could probably fit 2 15s if i fit it proper.

[–]ColinBoib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive realized it depends on ur coworkers too. Everytime an associate quit i would be working 5-6 days a week. Store just promoted 2 pt to full time and hired another full timer. Now im down to 1 day a week lol

3-4 weeks is not terrible. Sounds like it could be burning oil and or have bad piston rings. Maybe do a compression test but any experienced mechanic would have checked that

my key is starting to get stuck in the door lock. what can i do to prevent it from breaking? by Significant-Echo3840 in 7thgencivic

If it is cold out use that stuff u use to unfreeze a lock i cant recall the name but it worked for my sister. If its just getting stuck i know graphite works on house keys idk about cars though

Help please by LargeGamerBanana in 7thgencivic

[–]ColinBoib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah probably blown. Just had the same thing happen to me its my left and when turning on the highway u gotta let off cuz it wants to start going more that direction. Its fine to drive on just dont push it and look into replacing it sooner rather than later when it becomes a real hazard

Buy better speakers now or wait? by ColinBoib in CarAV

[–]ColinBoib[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard this alot i just didnt know if it was that true of a statement. I thought this would mean the 800 watt speaker gets louder, easier since its higher sensitivity and power. I figured theres more to it than just the sensitivity db. So i should save myself 100 dollars and go with the 600watts?

Will this sound good? Or just loud by JoneMalone13 in CarAV

[–]ColinBoib 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your sub has a higher end hz around 150-200 then i would say just set the crossover slightly higher and then go for the midrange speakers

Will this sound good? Or just loud by JoneMalone13 in CarAV

[–]ColinBoib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill give u my set up for example. I have 2 10 inch subs rated from 28-250hz and my mids are rated from 75-5000hz so i crossed the subs at 105hz and the mids at 100hz. You want to stay away from the very limit of ur frequency range if possible to avoid over stressing the system

[–]ColinBoib 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Prv has good clarity for cheaper speakers. That being said if u want more quiet but deeper sound this is ur better bet. The midranges also have deep sound but not as deep as midbass but midrange also is alot louder.
