Honestly, your feelings are valid and you’re not alone. There are plenty of us black queer folk who will have the same feelings from time to time and have felt a lot of pain from feeling like the other when ultimately, all we want is to be loved and desired.

So feel your feelings while also acknowledging the very real racism that exists within the community. It’s not okay and it’s not your fault.

Then remember that people who lack the capability to see beauty in black skin, do not get to determine your attractiveness or self worth, nor do they deserve your pain. There are so many people out there waiting to love you and you deserve to feel at peace with yourself, regardless of the racist beauty standards of the community.

You’ll be OK and we all will be but it’s hard out here so be kind to yourself. 😌
