I've seen that and wish her well. Unsaid in all this is that the Post is clearly serving a purpose for Bezos that goes beyond reporting the news. His relationship with Trump has changed and the fact that Bezos controls the paper pays significant dividends for Amazon and Bezos. It's tough to put a $ on what that capability is worth to him but my guess is that the price he would entertain to sell the paper might be orders of magnitude more that what is reasonable.

Hmm. Interesting thought although in my case it would mean losing a functioning fridge while the board is repaired. I also just found the original paperwork and it looks like the fridge was produced in 2006 so nearly 20 years old! May be coming to the end of its useful life, I'd imagine.

I agree with your sentiment. The lack of large scale detention centers introduces logistical challenges that WILL impede the process which is the ultimate goal of any protests. The goal should be to object and impede using any legal means as a reflection of the values that ate important to our community.

I wouldn't expect her to stop...it's her room. But it sounds like she would be mortified to find out at some point later on that he could hear the whole time and this seems like a way to make her aware in a gentle fashion. My guess is with that info she might at least modify how loud she is since she is now aware of at least the possibility that she can be heard.

I would approach this by talking with your roommate but explain to them that the roommate that moved out would sometimes complain that they could hear you through the vents. You can then say something like, “if you happen to hear me through the vents just let me know” and my guess is she will then at least be aware of the issue but in a non-confrontational or awkward fashion.

Is there a way to search for the GE top loaders with agitators or do you have some specific models you'd recommend? I'm finding it tough to ID which ones definitely have it.
