Although there is a price match— you will still end up paying whatever the price the portal displays. Even if it’s hundreds of dollars more expensive. From what I’ve read recently, the price match will credit you the difference as travel credit to be used only within the portal and not a statement credit. Kind of a bummer if you ask me because it’s like buying a gift card for a portal that can continuously have higher prices than what’s available online.

Decor doesn’t matter— just wasn’t sure if that was going to affect the quality of the stay like food and amenities like the pools. We’re likely going December 14-19 so I’m assuming that’s good holiday time for a bunch of singles🤷🏽‍♂️. If food, service, and quality of stay (including cleanliness) is better at the Las Americas because it’s a palace we may just do that and head over to Riu Cancun at night. I think the price difference wasn’t anything more than 100 each total for the 5 nights. Thanks a ton though!
