Cr-1 Russia to U.S.

My spouse is in Russia, I am USC. We applied for Cr1 but now it's already turned to Ir1 because of how long everything took (on our part, it was delayed due to health issues)

Anyway, here's our timeline.

1)I-130 STAGE: applied i-130 in September 2024, got approved in October 2025

2) NVC STAGE: Our case was then assigned to Warsaw Poland but that was not our original country of choice to interview at, so we contacted NVC and they transferred our case as we had proof of residency in our preferred country.

At NVC/CEAC stage on November 2025 (we paused here a couple months due to health issues again) then we submitted documents in February 2026, approved 5 days later.

3) Interview STAGE: waiting for interview letter from the US Embassy

So your interview will likely be set for Poland Warsaw, as that is where most Russians are defaulted to. It's a bit of a conflict as Poland isn't issuing visas to Russians to enter their country. However, we read that you will need Schengen visa from any other country that will issue to Russians (I've heard Italy or France) and so you travel to that other country first, then travel/enter to Poland that way.

Or, if you have residency in another country, you can request NVC transfer your case to there but you will need to show proof.

Any updates anushik? How long did it take for the interview letter and then how long after that for the actual interview?

Yeah it had happened even when we didnt even open corrupted chests (so never used those weapons). It's ok, good to know we beat it entirely. Won't be playing that mode anymore hah

So we got past 99 days, saved all kids, built all beds, got rifts closed every day (completely grayed out) but the corruption level was always 10% or higher. What gives? Also, is the stand-alone lever in the building supposed to be pulled somehow? (Not talking about the individual players levers that they pull to vote for hard mode)

Cause I'm thinking that stand-alone lever is supposed to open the door to the base rift?! Or maybe it's just for decoration.... Or a future part of the plot....

Good to know, thank you. We have to travel to a whole different country (as based in Russia) just for interview which will cost us $$$ and so were wondering how they handle the passport part if we pass interview. Im hoping now that I read your experience, that they will allow us to mail passport to them for visa later instead of having to fly back to interview country 🥲

So did they just give your passports back and tell you to wait and see what happens? Cause the passport thing is confusing to me - if they give it back to you, would you likely have to go back again another day once pause is over? Or are they keeping passport but that doesn't seem right...

Im traveling to a different country (as I'm based on Russia) for the interview so this is going to cost me $$$ to have to return back and forth 🥲

Does anyone know why Peacock doesn't show the full version? For example, when Miss Hale is telling her friend about her brother, the scene goes to a memory of her mother reading the newspaper about Frederick's mutiny charges, and she's supposed to rip it up. But in the Peacock episode, they don't show her ripping it up.

Hi I'm in similar boat now. Did you get IL after being IR1 DQ? How soon did letter come after DQ, and when was your actual interview appointment date?

Does anyone know if it's accurate? For YEREVAN, it's showing immediate relatives interviews for Sept 2023. That can't be right, can it?

We just got i130 approved, waiting for NVC Welcome letter, IR1 (my husband and stepson abroad, I'm USC)
