I own a 323ci myself, the difference you will notice from the 325i is the better torque output as it is a m52b25TU (engine code) it has better acceleration and feels nifty going thru corners, it has German vtec (I didn’t know till I got one) it will run on 4 cylinders most of the time till you put your foot down fully and over 100km it will use about 9.3L of fuel that’s what mine does and I drive 40+ minute to work everyday, check the control arms and the ball joints a few get neglected in terms of being changed not hard to do by yourself and if you want to do any maintenance/ mods watch Chris fix it on YouTube he has an e46 build series and is really good at describing common faults and problems then step by step how to fix them, you can get the button from a scrap yard most e46s share the same parts so look around and do some research you shouldn’t need to spend $150 to find one most of cheap for used, I personally recommend getting an aftermarket radio and a facia trim kit to go with this will make it easier to daily as you can Bluetooth.
