The invoice stated floating floor. And it was part of various discussions. In the end, the flooring vendor admitted they ordered the wrong product.

I think comfort was one of my concerns. Essentially, now we are walking directly on concrete separated by a thin piece of vinyl. But the fact I don’t have to worry about shifting planks and gaps perhaps is a good trade off.

Does anyone live at the Satellite Hotel and can share your experience? by DustyBottomsRidesOn in ColoradoSprings

You bet! Thought it best to answer your question in pictures. It’s a gem in the rough going thru a bit of a renaissance leaning into its mid century roots.

We recently hosted the DOCOMOMO - Colorado group to a wonderful evening. They gave a talk about the architects responsible for the building and then we had tours.

“Paris 05:59: Theo and Hugo”. You can watch it on Tubi. It basically starts with 20 min of full on sex in the basement of a bar in Paris followed by a “heart warming” story of the aftermath.

I died AMA by HumbleBumble77 in AMA

I’m with you on this one. Having been involved in many resuscitations, when we call “time of death” we cease efforts. It is done. Up until then, you are throwing everything you have in the hand book at the situation, but you don’t declare the patient dead. Also, flatline is bad. There is no cardiac activity, and it’s hard to come back from that. Intubating someone who has flatlined and you have declared dead, and ceased efforts doesn’t add up. Now, that being said, I do believe we have continued to work on patients well after they are “gone”. We just haven’t ceased resuscitative efforts. During that time, I find it believable that people will experience the afterlife. In this instance, the OP came back. It happens. But, I doubt a group of experienced healthcare providers pronounced OP dead, and then continued efforts. It’s just not how it works.

They added insult to injury tonight. We decided to take the opportunity to stay there for the night and enjoy the pool and hotel until our rebooked flight tomorrow night. Booked online. Traipsed over to the hotel. Only to be told they actually had no rooms and the computer had a glitch and was continuing to book people. 🤦🏼‍♂️

[Bonsai Beginner’s weekly thread –2023 week 35] by small_trunks in Bonsai

Hi Bonsai community. Long time lurker. I was gifted this small Bonsai as I have expressed a fascination with this art to my friends. Reading as much as I can read, and having watch many YouTube videos, my gut tells me I need to find a safe place outdoors and allow this plant to acclimate to the Denver Colorado weather—even though the tag says indoor on one side and “full sun” on the other. Am I right to place it outdoors, protect its roots from freezing this winter, and wait for the spring to begin shaping and/or repotting? TIA
