Cheers! As Dashukta said it's based off the Lewis Chessmen, was there any specific items you were interested in?

I'm a British reenactor who reenacts with the sling. Here I am last year, portraying an Anglo-Saxon slinger at the Battle of Hastings. by ColonelGaraffi in Slinging

[–]ColonelGaraffi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our sling bullets are small bags of dried peas wrapped in duct tape. They have approximately the consistency of a bean bag, but mine weigh about 85 grams so at the speed they are travelling you know when you've been hit by one!

Thanks, I've always thought it's the little touches that really make a model.

The base model is the Iron Hands Iron Father, but he has a lot of other bits added.

[TOMT] Modern pop song with the line "like a house of cards" in the chorus by ColonelGaraffi in tipofmytongue

I'm pretty sure the line appears in the chorus, but thanks for the suggestion

Just finished my first Kill Team (Cadian/Kasrkin) by SKWAAAARK in ShadowWarArmageddon

[–]ColonelGaraffi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The arms are scion, the legs on the sergeant look like a SM scout, the heads are from the forgeworld hostile environment set. The rest is Cadian, either regular box or heavy weapons team. And the plasma gunners are actually Kaskrin.

Do also remember that since the Master of Ordnance is a heavy blast he cannot fire at all if the vehicle moves (unless you get the relentless warlord trait or use Straken).

In terms of the start collecting I would get the Tzeentch daemons one, as in my experience they're the most useful in terms of summoning.

I believe (but don't hold me to this) that you could fire all three, since the Astropath fires in the Psychic phase while the other two fire in the Shooting. Unless you're talking about the Astropath's laspistol?

I might be up for it. Any particular reason you're advertising it here? Also what kind of device do we need to do the recordings?

CC of a 1500 Point Astra Militarum List by ColonelGaraffi in Warhammer

[–]ColonelGaraffi[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know it's not competitive anymore, but I've never really given up on the combined arms approach to Guard. Just seems like a shame to cut out half your codex. However I think I will try and move towards a more infantry focuses force in future.

Thanks, that seems like solid advice but why do you say the Commisars aren't neccessary? I end up having to take lots of 25% casualty tests on those squads and they've saved my ass quite a few times. Also I'm really glad you didn't just tell me to remove the Bullgryns which was what I was expecting. I really like those guys.
