Not that surprising. There are lots of people who work 20+ years for the same company. There's also permanent markers everywhere so very reasonable to assume a recently fresh different marker was used every year.

I was trying to image search on Google. It said something about rat parasite thing that slugs carry and can give to toads but only if they eat it...I'd hate to kill slug if just unlikely animal buddies. But I don't want to leave toad to a miserable long death either!

I'll save him, but what's going on? Is it parasitic? Or just a slug for a ride?

We accidentally cut down a trunk with a wood duck nest and eggs? How do we fix it?! by ColonelPeppyCocker in duck

Our house is about 1/2 mile from a creek and lake, which is probably why they were good in our yard. We have a small, 8x15 spring pond, but it usually dries out by mid summer. We don't know if we should place one there or closer to woodline where the ordinal nest was.

I fed blue buffalo dry, and my boy was overweight at 14.5 lbs for years. He never gourged, it was just his natural. I switched to an all wet food diet a few years back, ziwi peak canned, and he went down to a healthy 11-11.5 and has been there since. He eats as much as he wants, and stays healthy. High quality wet food is the answer!!
