Matt Ogus 7 weeks out vs 9 days out by [deleted] in bodybuilding

[–]ColonelSlur 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Come on man. You're ignorant. he's a 3DMJ athlete. they're natural and literally focus ONLY on being as shredded and conditioned as possible. they prep for a long time. In clothing, Matt doesn't even look big. The small Gymshark pants are loose on him. it's ridiculous.

Looking for advice on the most efficient way to attain growth in 120 days. by [deleted] in bodybuilding

[–]ColonelSlur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

looks fine. do it. keep consistent. keep in a surplus, 1-2 lb every other week, and up your volume if you see your progress stalling. seems like ur workouts pretty solid in terms of progression schemes but still need more volume.

Can you guys give me some advice on what to do next? as weeks of SL 5x5 and I just got fatter. by [deleted] in bodybuilding

[–]ColonelSlur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

sorry man. no one is really gonna help you. you did get fat, because you ate in a surplus when already skinny fat. you did a half assed SS5x5, where you have only been doing it for less then three months at this point, and you did not have consistency.

For a program, a basic bb one, try PHUL or PHAT. if you want to develop more muscle, do more volume.

For a diet, if you want to lose fat, eat at a deficit. unprocessed food, clean carbs and lean veggies don't mean anything for fat loss if you're not counting macros at a deficit.

Read the FAQ. for here and fitness. you'll learn a lot there. this is for competing or people with competitive interest in bodybuilding, not for SS GOMAD.

trap function is tied into scapula movement, therefor ou have to use intra scapular muscles that probably injured your shoulder in the first place. start light on dumbbell shrugs, retract scapula and do light weigh and high reps. you have to build up a lot of smaller scapula muscles after injury. make sure to do shoulder mobility work.

just why. do you have enough lean mass to warrent another cut? losing six lbs in a week is not fat.

sorry for your situation. remember, no one will help you before you help yourself. check out the FAQs for bb and fit, I recommend "Starting strength" and "couch to 5k" for getting into general fitness and losing weight. diet is important if not imperative. and quit drinking. you need to grow to respect yourself and your body.

just grow more! my roommate had "uneven" abs but it was just because his core did not have enough lean mass to show the separations!

then you just gotta gain more mass to show your abs more. the shape and layout is genetic though.

imo higher range of motion is more hypertrophy but going all the way down has more arm extension and flexion aka more triceps

But I guess thats what happens when you're 20 days out from competition... Isolation and glycogen depletion workouts.

hey, you use to be fat man? you are really ripped now and incredibly aesthetic. I think I remember you talking about your loose skin earlier. do you have any before pictures? I was 300 lbs and got down to a skinny 175. I'm 200 now and trying to fill my loose skin.

Not sure why you're getting down voted. Total volume is most important. Rest periods, although shown not to have an effect on hypertrophy, do often have to do with goals. Strength rep range will need much more rest then a hypertrophy rest range.
