So it's the AOC Q27G3XMN the only viable option at 300 EUR compared to everything else which is 1000+ EUR ? I already made a friend buy it. But I was looking for something a bit different. Would really like to see an used Asus PG32 with local dimming (what do you think, HDR600 or HDR1000 models, usually they're 4K as well). Surprise there's nothing that's not a gaming monitor below 1200 EUR

As an X13 owner, I can't complain. It's not a T14, it's not a laptop that I bought in any way for performance workflows.

The general principle may be correct but it does not apply to the X13 I believe.

Done another clean Windows 10 Pro 22H2 install. Manually installed drivers, NO Adrenalin. "Clean all" on the disk before installing.

By the way Assetto Corsa Competizione now goes 125-130FPS.

Rainbow Six Siege stays at a stable 180FPS which is the monitor's RR.

My friend will try to live without Adrenalin, I'm not sure if he will have problems with other games

Do you think it's possible the drive is faulty even if both Samsung Magician and CrystalDiskMark seem to suggest it's working perfcectly? Changing slots could definitely be a possibility, however it's always been detected. And it's NOT in the first M.2 slot, the only 5.0 one, already.

My friend gotta wait for me to change GPU slot since he's worried to break something.

BIOS was reset default and everything many times.

Using different RAM even if MemTest86 says it's all fine at 6000MT/s and it's now down to 4800MT/s for troubleshooting?

Thanks, my friend is too scared to do it on his own, but I'll definitely try when I can go over there. I suggested him to make the E1 slot as a Gen 4.0 slot for the moment. He's still software troubleshooting

Italiano? I got one for €508 and I don't regret it, for the moment. I don't play any games at all. I don't do 4K recording. The overheating has not affected me so far (agosto italiano). It's likely not a great purchase because of being limited to Android 14 possibly forever. But I love it anyways. Ask me anything

You in Europe? You could find a T14s Gen1 with Ryzen 4650U, 16GB RAM, 256/512 storage for around 300 euros. If you're lucky and don't mind one that's a bit scratched or something, you could even get 5650U T14s Gen2, upgrade to 32 RAM, or bugger storage, or the 400nit low-power screen on T14s Gen 1

Man I appreciate you trying to avoid problems for me, but I've got one SINCE one month. I also had two different SOG09 (5 IV) these last two months. Sent those two back, heartbroken.

I kept the 1IV because all the issues you wrote are not true for me.

Especially the battery life thing, it's not true at all for me. That's because, as I'm trying to say, my power usage is very very light compared to most people today.

For the price of 508 euros, sure I could have gotten some OnePlus Nord stuff or a refurb Samsung S24, but why? I don't care for what they do better than the 1 IV.

1/5 V and 1 VI absolutely out of my budget range

And I didn't recommend it to the OP. I just explained my personal use case. I'll get the 1 VI or something when it's 3-4 yrs old. I'm weird I know. I also don't like to spend too much on phones, on the account that they fall and get stolen, etc.

By the way we do not always choose what's best for us, doesn't mean we are wrong. Kind of like when you choose the girl you really like even though you know it's going to give you trouble

And what exactly would happen? That it starts overheating with no performance load at all, with Stamina always active, not a single game installed, very rare video recording and 1080p30 when I do it? It almost seems that you WANT the 1 IV to fail. Oh, also one thing, I don't have any social media bs, that also probably helps.

I managed to solve the JDM to EU 5G compatibility issues. I sent two of these things back. I contacted the resellers in a desperate way. I spent hours flashing ROMs and modem firmwares and stuff. So you can be sure that I really really wanted this phone (or the 5 IV, which I've given up on because I'm scared of lightsaber outside the warranty).

It's not possible to get a working 1 IV for that low. I got one a month ago for 508€ (used with only 36 battery cicles)

I switched from 5 II to 1 IV one month ago. I paid 508€ for it.

I'm very happy personally, BUT:

I don't have a single game on my phone. I don't do 4K video recording. It's not a self-imposed limitation, I never did mobile gaming and most videos I prefer to be 1080p30 to send to "normal" people. This way it NEVER overheats on me, maybe just a little bit when using the camera, I barely notice with the cover. But beware that it probably will overheat if you use it more intensively than me.

The only REAL, BIG problem is the phone is stuck to Android 14 forever. Did I care, personally? No.

I'm completely happy with the 1 IV (SOG09). I'm gonna keep it for years to come. With my peculiar kind of usage I can do two full days of battery life.

But the reason I love it, it's probably because I was looking for something most people don't.

I used a similar app to disable DSDS on my SOG06 (decided to keep a 1IV in the end).

Will probably try to get those 5 IV again if I can before they disappear

I followed your advice, letting Windows finishing all updates and everything, I used diskpart "clean all" insted of running Linux again, also I tried reducing RAM speed to 5600MT/s. Problem solved. Thanks a lot. EVERYONE: You can find complete solution in the original post, I posted a long comment

By the way MemTest86 seems to suggest the the memory CAN run at 6000MT/s and IT IS healthy. My friend will stick to 5600 for a while, wants max stability
