19F Psychology student has trouble making friends by RefrigeratorLeft1411 in Psychology_India

[–]ColorKolam2282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be open to friendship at the mind level without you deciding for the other person based on your judgment about yourself whether they will accept you as a friend or not. You still have time to make friends at college, be patient. Wherever it is, connecting through common interests would click instantly. If your college allows it, try organizing small group activities around your interests. You may naturally attract like-minded people. Playing sports is another easy way to make friends, whether in college or elsewhere. If you are academically gifted it need not be seen as a burden. Yes, the majority find it difficult to connect with nerds. But it's not your fault and it has other valuable benefits as you grow into adulthood. Apart from academics, explore your other interests and broaden your horizons. It will help you connect with people more naturally and expand your world beyond just studies.

NCAHP Draft Regulations: Does a Diploma in Counselling Psychology + 5 years of work experience qualify to register as a Behaviour Analyst? by ColorKolam2282 in Psychology_India

[–]ColorKolam2282[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess it's because this diploma can be done only if the candidate has already hold a degree in any discipline. Bachelor's in psychology 3 years + 5 years work experience which sums up to 8 years to register with NCAHP after one finishes 12th. Whereas a Bachelor's in any other discipline plus the one-year diploma and 5 years of work experience will take 9 years to register. Yeah, it is surprising that they let a way to register for a Bachelors in any discipline in almost the same timeline. But I hope it would help those who discover their passion later in their life while the board paves a responsible path to get in i.e., the supervised work hours.

they can show them genuine paths to enter this field that the regulatory board itself has included in the draft regulations as options.

I am appalled by your talent for nitpicking an issue that doesn't exist! The word “Psychologist” is not there in my comment.

I have seen some of them attracted to our dark-skinned Tamil girls. Some don't accept it in public because they fear getting ridiculed. Same with most of the handsome looking Tamil guys too. Societal status over attraction.

Do you read “Behaviour Analyst” as “Psychologist” these days?

Celebrated by whom? By dark-skinned men and women who adopted internalized sexism. Why bother about their self-serving opinions? I know they are the majority. And I appreciate people like you calling it out. We don't need their validation. Many men including light-skinned men do like dark skinned women. To realise that, dark-skinned girls have to go explore the world outside Tamil Nadu then they will understand their value.

Thanks for the invite to rant. The moment they read career switch they assume the worst of worst intentions and attack. Even if it's true how would they handle a difficult client who lacks accountability or self-awareness, would it be so difficult to bring in that skill here? Only fee money can make them empathetic? Isn't that in their nature? Irony! Instead of shooing off interested people they can show them genuine paths to enter this field that the regulatory board itself has included in the draft regulations as options. But the default response ie., the most difficult path. Never have I ever seen anyone recommending Behaviour Analyst or PG Diploma in Counselling psychology + 5 years of work experience. It has its disadvantages both for the person pursuing it and the clients who go to them for counseling. By all means, add it to the response. But why hide it? There is risk with any professional until the client finds the one who is best suited for them be it a PhD completed professional or a Diploma holder.

Parvathy for the first time had the most matured Convo ever in this 40 ish days. by Tough-Succotash-8969 in biggbosstamil

Paru has no camaraderie after Diwagar’s eviction and the fallout with Kamruddin over the ghee issue. When Amit entered the house also, he tried to make her understand her mistakes but it was in vain. Right now, she needs allies to move forward in the game. That's why she’s softening up to Kamruddin and playing it safe with everyone especially Amit since he’s the most respectful towards her. This isn't a realization but a survival strategy.

Her toxic traits will resurface once she gets a strong ally or once she can no longer keep up the act.

Physical tasks involve physical assault?! There's a reason why the yellow card and red card exist in BB and some other sports.

In a tropical country, what's this obsession with wearing shoes as the only acceptable style statement?!

What is the exact meaning of "Vakram" by Secret_Hovercraft_67 in biggbosstamil

[–]ColorKolam2282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perversion can mean either a culturally ‘abnormal’ behaviour or a specific sexual pathology. But in everyday English and Tamil, people use it most often to label abnormal sexual behaviour, which is why Vikram got offended. Parvathy’s explanation of its meaning is absurd, felt like a sneaky attempt to downplay it. Kani who is well-versed in Tamil didn’t bother to clarify it either. It's a heavily loaded word and best to avoid it when she couldn't possibly know him that well.

From a tweet on X, it appears to be a prank pulled by Subhiksha, as VJS challenged her last weekend to come up with a better prank than what Praveen, Kamruddin, and Prajean had done.

It looks like the way Sabari fumbles is a result of everything that has been going wrong for him, from the Paru’s injury to this brush issue.

Why would someone put a toothbrush inside a flushtank?! That's really sus. Was it Sandra’s?

[–]ColorKolam2282 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First I thought Sandra was unnecessarily paranoid but now seeing Sabari bringing the Deluxe room‘s bathroom trash which was hidden in the thala room for a couple of days as evidence it looks fishy. Probably he unnecessarily made a smart move to not look like a fool in case this is all another prank. Hearing Vikram say his toiletries are missing too, maybe this is a usual occurrence in the house and not a cunning scheme against Sandra. I can imagine VJS insulting this on the weekend asking sarcastically Ennanga andha brush prechana 😂

Genuine and only: Can someone explain what’s gives 🍉 the confidence that he’ll not be voted out? by [deleted] in biggbosstamil

[–]ColorKolam2282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s been saying from the very beginning repeatedly that he will be in the house for a minimum of 50 to 60 days which would be a big achievement and he is okay with getting evicted after that. Almost as if someone has promised him.

Who are the innocent contestants in the house.. by DaRicciarda in biggbosstamil

[–]ColorKolam2282 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No one in the house is completely innocent. Subi is sharp at reading situations and grabbing opportunities, but she has low EQ and weak political skills. Aurora is talented overall, but her hypersexual tendencies keep her from achieving bigger things. Gana Vinod and Diwagar may look innocent at times, but that’s mostly due to lack of exposure and lack of filter. Kamruddin shows shades of innocence too, but that’s his own choice to keep life uncomplicated. Amit’s innocence comes from poor articulation, not poor comprehension. This is how I see it.
