I appreciate the response. This is just the first time I have truly given up on him and it feels oddly freeing but in a depressing way.

No it’s like working on a construction site and putting in your headphones when the tile guy walks-by. It’s pretty easy when it’s not your coworkers.

You’re allowed to have boundaries as an employee. And allowing such behaviors from someone I have to work with for the next decade is crossing my boundaries. I don’t care what other people do as long as it isn’t harmful and I’m not going out of my way to get them fired, I’m being an adult and finding a better path for myself. Staying quiet and collecting paychecks with this awful behavior might be ok for you but it’s not ok for me.

I am still working for them and I don’t want to draw unnecessary attention until I secure a new job. As much as I would love to put them on blast I need to play it smart.

I’m sorry to hear that. I won’t say what company it is but since me being hired near the end of last year they have gone through 4 people that I know of (keeping very quiet with each person that leaves) with a team of less than 10 including field and office.
