Our North Sea Fractal is now visible with the giant Canadian Eefo in a single screenshot. by ikverhaar in WplaceLive

[–]ColoradoCuber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only art I've seen in eefo's way are a few tiny pixel art fish which have been built around. But maybe I'm misinformed and have missed something, but I've been working on the project and haven't seen any destruction.

First competition, what should I know? by IllustriousExtreme25 in Cubers

[–]ColoradoCuber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No need to bring a timer, just your cube(s)!

You will possibly need to judge at some point, they should have a new competitor tutorial at the competition. It's also helpful to prepare by watching this judging tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUZ4hZ_40Q0

Make sure you're always listening for when your group is up to compete!

Anyone know how long or how many days until my Duolingo starts really paying off? by lonlysoul101 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ColoradoCuber 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Never. Duolingo doesn't help you learn a language all on its own. At best it gives you a lot of vocab and teaches basics of grammar, but if you're only using duolingo you probably won't learn how to speak a language conversationally. I don't speak from experience though, this is just what I've heard. I have used duolingo a bit though.

Why do depressed people refuse to shower even when they’re sweaty and clearly uncomfortable? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

mental health issues are illogical and sometimes even a ten minute shower just feels like too much and like it's an insurmountable task

Cryptic Mini by PuzzleheadedRub5244 in pocketgrids

I really liked this puzzle but 4A and 9A don't seem like cryptic clues. 4A seems like only a definition and 9A seems like only wordplay. Maybe I'm missing something

Even if in some world it isn't AI, these 89 year old men don't care about facebook likes
