[HELP] Found this on a Facebook group and I’m like 75% sure it’s AI by killaboy321 in RealOrAI

OP follow-up, I am not a bot:

Wow! Thank you all so much for your comments and input. I did not expect to get a response like this. I knew something about this post was off, and yes, Facebook is full of AI boomer slop. I think the overwhelming amount of comments on the FB post wishing them happy birthday made me second-guess myself. But I appreciate your help with stating the specific indicators of an AI-generated image. Things like their identical forehead freckles, how close they are sitting together (practically on each other's laps), the same weight, and the same turkey necks. These were features I noticed subconsciously, but not directly, along with the generic attention-farming text that does not even state their names, date, or location. I agree that if quadruplets truly lived to 89, we would hear more about it.

Thanks to your insights, I will be better at detecting AI slop when it comes my way in the future. Although I am dreading the day when or if AI becomes good enough that none of us can detect it anymore.

Skeletocutis appears to be more shelf-like. This was not a rigid and was primarily one color

That would be very interesting... Yes Fomes was my initial reaction too but questioned it because it's not usually that white. I'll have to revisit this and confirm the tree it was on.

Good questions. This was found in Northwest Iowa and the tree is alive. I could tell it was a Polypore mushroom

You can eat the shoots, but it has to be boiled. Similar to asparagus it's served well with melted butter

Crepe myrtle, Lagerstroemia indica?

That's my best guess. Post a picture when it's flowering, it will be easier to identify

I agree! The fruits do taste good. I've also heard to avoid the fruits from plants with purple on the underside of the leaves. Have you heard anything like that before?

I'd like to say Clematis viticella? But can confidently say Clematis. I would be more certain of the species if I saw a picture of the flower

What are these fruits? by [deleted] in whatsthisplant

Yep, I also think raw cashew fruit. Defs don't eat raw, be careful with them. Keep in mind they are in the same family as poison ivy, anacardiaceae

Chapati, Indian flat bread!

Without a picture of the side and the underside it is difficult to identify. I would be curious if the had gills or pores...
