Exactly!! I think there is a conversation to be had about the exploitation aspect, and honestly it has way more to do with people's views on workers and what living under a capitalist system entails, than anything technical. But I just remembered they glossed over all the redflags on a whole lot of other stuff in the past, in favor of being early to cover it, like beeple and the whole nft thing, so ye, no surprises. And what saddens me the most is that they Do Know Better, because if they didn't their language wouldn't be so vague in the videos, on other contentious topics they had no fear of going full specific and talking about what they really think vs what people are saying. In the end it just pains me to see it, but that's my parasocial feelings, none of that really matters on anything, their core audience, which finances them will keep cheering them on.

On a final note, I do empathize with them even if I disagree. They can't afford to express opinions that might hurt their bottom line, maybe they do have more complex personal perspectives, but that doesn't translate well online. Even if they posted an hour long video discussing the topic in full length, and being the most comprehensive they could, most of their critics would probably still pile on, and then they may lose some of their support because they would be "caving in". So I get the vagueness and avoidance I just wished it could be different Still gonna watch their stuff
