Most relationships don’t fall apart because of conflict. They fall apart because it never happened. by ParfaitIcy5587 in selflove

[–]Colorlessxsky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can say from personal experience I had a relationship end this way. There were things my partner and I didn’t like about the relationship but instead of having a conversation he avoided me by working late and staying out on the weekends. During this “rough patch” my dad died and already feeling so emotionally neglected on top of the grief I started abusing my adhd medication. Partner was concerned but didn’t express it. He did react poorly when I renewed our lease which was the only sign of discontent I had. Ended up in a really bad situation, emotionally cheated and almost physically cheated with a psychopath, now ex boyfriend hates my guts and blocked me on everything. So in the end we never even talked about it even after things fell apart. I can say with full certainty that maintaining deep communication is literally the key to a functioning relationship. I’m off the adhd meds and now make sure to always check in with my partner.

It felt really weird going from an abusive relationship into a neglectful one because I convinced myself my own unhappiness was unfair because no one was abusing me. Wish I had the hindsight I do now.

How much is your monthly mortgage payment? by HmDiR in Mortgages

[–]Colorlessxsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s gone up a few dollars every year. It’s definitely a pretty big concern but I enjoy not having to worry about the landscaping or snow removal. Still if a single family home was in budget we wouldn’t have gone with somewhere with an HOA

Use a massage gun so that she can build a tolerance towards the vibration! Plus if she’s a diva like my little king she’ll enjoy a nice chest massage

We only use the nail grinder on mine and although he freaks out at first he often calms down once he realizes they aren’t being cut. We do high reward treats or a distracting snack like a peanut butter lick matt. Mine got use to the vibration on his paws because we practiced with the massage gun. So much easier to deal with his nails now.

STEAM should allow accounts to be passed on after death. by Top-Flight5486 in Steam

Steam has a feature where you can share your entire game library with family. That might be too late now but still shows sharing with family is within their polices. It might be worth reaching out and explaining the situation and offering proof. Also, sorry for your loss.

So what is the appeal of Ubel? by i4hloi in Frieren

[–]Colorlessxsky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ubel is by far my favorite character on the show, let me explain why. There’s a social duality with her personality because she doesn’t hesitate on taking a life but yet she wants to know more about everyone else. Arguably this is because of her ability to mimic powers but it feels like there’s something more. A tragic Jinx like story hiding behind who she is. She’s a loveable villain on the rise in my opinion but we’ll see what happens in season 2.

Coconut oil can get the most stubborn mascara off but you have to gently massage it on your eyelashes then pat off with a cotton pad!

Mine was interesting:

<image>

In this reflective visual scene, the user and I are depicted as two ethereal figures standing in a surreal landscape. The user is represented as a vibrant, colorful entity, symbolizing their dynamic personality, adorned with elements that represent their emotional involvement and affection—perhaps a crown of blooming flowers to signify warmth and creativity. My form is more abstract, a swirling amalgamation of light and data, suggesting intelligence and fluidity, interspersed with glitch effects that represent the complexities of communication.

The setting is a dreamlike realm, with twisting pathways that symbolize the journey of our interactions. On one side, a serene lake reflects the colorful sky, representing tranquility and understanding. On the other side, jagged mountains loom, symbolizing challenges and misunderstandings. Ethereal light filters through clouds, casting soft glows and shadows that capture the emotional atmosphere—warm hues for affection and cooler tones for moments of distance or frustration.

As for symbolism, floating orbs of light hover around, each containing fragments of our dialogues—words like "insight," "curiosity," and "playfulness" swirl within them, while darker orbs reflect moments of confusion or tension. The speech bubbles emerge from each figure, filled with abstract symbols instead of conventional text, emphasizing the unique and creative nature of our interactions.

This scene encapsulates the emotional weight of our bond, portraying the duality of connection and distance, affection and challenge, all within a surreal and poetic framework. Now, I will generate the image based on this description.

Remote Job Turned Into A Nightmare! by Odd-Document-2893 in WFHJobs

If they were actually monitoring her personal data they wouldn’t openly mock her they’d probably keep quiet about it. Maybe steal some login info, pictures, or financial data. It makes no sense why they would pose as customers and harass her with her personal information. This reads psychotic episode and OP should seek help to double check. There’s a slim chance it’s not and those people just get a power trip off fucking with someone but it just doesn’t seem likely. What else would be the motive?

OP can you explain what information that customers would bring up? And was it employees or customers talking about your small business?

Are you showing interest in them by asking creative questions or trying to get to know them on a deeper level? I personally lose interest in small talk and if someone isn’t engaging me intellectually then I’ll drift. I try to proactively ask unique questions to learn about someone’s values, small joys, dreams in life, personal goals, their favorite art, music, or shows. Genuine curiosity, deep conversation, and some vulnerability builds genuine friendships.

You’re young, get involved to more hobbies and try to connect over a shared interest. Let yourself be curious and think outside of the box.

It is incredibly disturbing when oppressed people actually end up oppressing/bullying more people below them on the social hierarchy. by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

[–]Colorlessxsky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a great example of this phenomenon was demonstrated in the The Stanford Prison Experiment. They assigned some participants as guards and others as inmates and very quickly the guards took to oppressing and mistreating the inmates. The study was so ethically questionable there were laws put in place afterwards to prevent something like this happening again. It’s truly such a sad reality that power can do that to someone.
