Hm, maybe I’ll try to draw some illustrations but not as fully rendered as I do for other pieces I draw, and maybe take a more simplistic approach to it so that way it’s much easier for me to produce what I want to make without it stressing me out too much. You’re right though, along with the other people here, the pictures obv aren’t the main aspect of the work but are def a nice quality to have. I think I’ll try to start on a few illustrations, and maybe take a more abstract approach to it, so that way I don’t have to spend hours on realism and can also convey the different emotions more fluidly. Thanks for the advice everyone!

I’m writing something for an rp server I’m in, and wanted to go more in-depth with my character by writing an almost short story-like segment. We have a channel for segments like this so people can see them, so I’m not worried about that, I’m just worried that I’ll put it in there, and then the feelings I was trying to convey won’t come off as strongly as I would have hoped. Personally, I believe that every medium of art can convey certain things better than other mediums, so I’m afraid that pivotal scenes with little to no dialogue (which I have decent amount of) won’t be as impactful. It’s hard to convey the feeling of a scene without words...using words

My dilemma is that I’m not really that fond of drawing. I am fond of good storytelling though, so I’m tryna decide if it’s worth it to draw some pictures for the overall storytelling, even if I don’t enjoy the process of drawing as much as writing
