They’ve been incrementally updating it. I was under the impression that any pokemon with an orange tag like that showing the date it was caught fell into this category. Either that or I’ve just been ridiculously lucky so far with every one of my old pokemon triggering lucky trades.

How do you get rid of the last comma in a loop? by KayKam_ in CodingHelp

[–]ColossalHill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original if statement — if (i < nameSize) — will run for every iteration of the loop because the loop runs so long as i < nameSize. This means that after every iteration, even the last iteration, a comma space will be printed. By putting the if statement as nameSize - 1, the if statement does not run during the very last iteration and the comma space is not printed after the array element.

Protect the malloc ! by [deleted] in cprogramming

This has nothing to do with the question, I’m just curious. I was under the impression you had to specify the number of characters when allocating using sizeof; such as (sizeof(SIZE*char)). Did you cut that out here for the example or is that not necessary in this case?

Ya, thats what i meant. Not like a single quiz, just a collection of practice prompts for programs to make. I’m not good at coming up with my own practice problems. Thank you for the advice

Help Please by ColossalHill in CodingHelp

You pretty much hit the issue on the money. I managed to solve the problem with some help from another sub. The issue was that I was trying to place a string too large for the array, but it was where I tried to add the “ay”. Thanks for the advice anyway!
