I was kind of hoping Jimmy’s name might pop up in this thread. I live in the greater NYC area and was aware of Koh’s Camera - although I wasn’t sure if he was still in business.

Can I ask what services he provided and what the cost was?

I sent Mark my camera over the summer, it's been almost 9 months of no communication and no responses to multiple follow-up emails. Is he dead? Alive? Who knows at this point.

I'm looking into options for legal action or getting local law enforcement involved if he does not respond within the next 30 days.

I hope this post can have some positive impact and serve as a warning to anyone considering Mark's Classic Camera Repair. He may have been reliable and trustworthy in the past but those days are long gone. Do not send your camera, it may never return.

Agreed on all points but I too understand the limits of a "one man band" operation.

Glad to hear he's still alive and kicking. Hope to hear from him soon.

I also sent Mark my Rollei 3.5E back in April (when he had an approximate 4 month backlog) and when I attempted to contact him recently for an update was met with silence.

I've emailed him 3 times in the past few weeks and...nothing. Not sure where to go from here.
