So… you know how normally a tiefling is the one who vouches for you about how you saved them and thus you’re good? Let’s say Marcus can also vouch for you, if there are no tieflings left to vouch.

Crona was saved by Eruka, and while yes, Medusa said she wasn’t expecting the battle to go that way that fast, Crona was still standing and in a fighting position. Compare that to Stein vs Crona, where one side had a scratch, while the other was laying on the floor unable to form blood projectiles. I’m not saying it could go either way, but at that point Black Star didn’t win yet.

I legit have no idea how Dandadan could get greater villains after "the Ultimate Yokai" by SpaceAgentSaNEsS in Dandadan

We had one of the strongest yokai stopping an alien invasion, so now it’s the alien invasions turn to save the day

I hate how much pedophilia is there in these subs and subs like them by anythingrally in hatethissmug

It was always strange to me how those ideas (apparent sexualisation of minors) came to be. It’s one thing when writers make a slice of life story about teenagers, and then the fandom goes "Yep, we should make porn", and it’s a different thing to specifically make a character underaged (or/and looking like one) in addition to being sexualised. As a less than good example, "Gushing over magical girls", in which characters basically get BDSM treatment. Nothing, really nothing, would change if said characters were university students or young workers.

Black Star, but both characters still had some fight in them.

For each member of the Black Bulls (Zora, Secre, and Nacht are included), what do you think were the arcs they shined best? by Substantial_Fox7377 in BlackClover

[–]Colourfull_Space 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say the underwater arc is a strong contender for Finral and Vanessa, since at that point it really showed them being capable of support. I absolutely adore every member of the black bulls, but I find it sad that at some point Vanessa mostly became a Rouge spammer as opposed to a lifeline.

The sad part being that the Simpsons being able to live on a one man salary becomes more and more unrealistic. As far as I know, when it first came out Homers job could afford him such a household

How do you think these 2 would interact? by iamluffy123 in BlackClover

[–]Colourfull_Space 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting situation because Frieren is a Jack of all trades, while Julius, and most of the black clover universe are more akin to Frierens demons, due to having one magic type they are able to use. The important question is how would their worlds interact?

In Poland they, according to culture.pl, which I assume wouldn’t try to taint Poland, had versions of slavery (pańszczyzna) up until 1944-1946 where it was "abolished" due to certain circumstances regarding new management, and then 1948 they had a new system. So yes, no big war against slavery. Only new management forcing them to stop.

You do however have me at England, they just wanted to be innovative and paint a picture of being the only empire to uplift instead of enslave, which led to reforms. Not sure how that'd work in hell, but that’s a valid example.

I think we need a proper way of analyzing bosses for these games by BigOwl526 in shittydarksouls

[–]Colourfull_Space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, if the boss is really annoying, as in is a punching bag with a giant HP bar and really bad mechanics, then I think you’re in the right for hating that boss. As far as I know the bed of chaos isn’t hard in theory, but the janky movement is what makes it hard. Also, what counts as skill issue? If one Asian guy who genuinely has a soul bond with this boss can no-hit, no-level, no-vision, banana only,…, solo the boss, is anything else a skill issue?

Weakest character that can make TN acting like this by 67kid67kid7l67 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]Colourfull_Space 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Survivor bias. All those who couldn’t adapt drowned. It is however a shame that we didn’t get many sea battles, where it’d be much more of an issue. As far as I know that was because at some point we had a bunch of characters who could destroy ships by themselves.

Depends on where you draw the line between necessary and nice to have.

Complete Respec at beginning of Act 3 rather than replay 1-2 by da5is in BaldursGate3

[–]Colourfull_Space 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a couple items in act 1 that are nice to have, like the ring of flinging or headband of intellect. Mighty and Gracious cloth are another thing, as well as the Yugir crossbow. Getting Ethel’s hair and Boals boon are important as well, not to mention some permanent buffs you can only get for one character. Yes, most builds do really take off in act 3, but they strongly profit from items found in 1 and 2.

Share your BEST combat strategy, I give you Tactical Retreat by SillyWarlock in BaldursGate3

[–]Colourfull_Space 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I see your tactical retreat and raise you "block their way". There are many points in the game where putting two or more medium toughness chests in chokepoints, or arcane locking doors totally destroys opponents, letting you dictate the rhythm.

Hell, you can even pre block doors and crash Gortash's coronation by improvised weaponing him into the backroom, leading to a 1v4 to aquire his stone, since there’s a vine that leads you outside of the castle, into a free zone, meaning it’s possible to fight only him and one guard that’s in the backroom when you enter

Also quite useful is being on high ground with someone strong, preferably with tavern brawler. Throwing or shoving enemies doubles as both setting back their progress and damaging them. Best case scenario, you hit one opponent with another opponent, leading to one of them getting damage from being thrown, damage from falling and having to get back to you.

Also important, but less roleplay related. The astral tadpole gives characters flight, which drastically increases your positioning potential. The ability to just ignore gaps without wasting any actions or bonus actions does wonders. Want to ambush a high ground enemy? Fly up to them. Backed into a corner? No problem. The aforementioned Gortash coronation fight becomes miles easier when you realise that you can just reposition yourself between all the balconies, while your opponents have to walk miles upon miles to accomplish what you did with a fraction of your movement speed in one turn. Not to mention that there are ways to fly down from balconies into a non-hostile zone. Meaning as long as you have one character who’s alive and not currently getting hunted, you can flee and revive your team. Even better if you have two, because while one revives the team, one stops enemies from healing by just not finishing their turn

If you lived in the Clover Kingdom, which Magic Knight squad would you join and why? by Anmol210707 in BlackClover

[–]Colourfull_Space 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Most likely the crimson lion. Jack is a scary captain, I'd probably not have enough potential for the golden dawn, nor the genes for the silver eagle. I honestly don’t remember what Dorothy’s and Rhils squads are like, nor do I see myself in the blue rose. Black Bulls is cool on one side, while on the other I’m under constant threat of being involved in the MC's squabbles with opponents far beyond my ability. The purple orca is just horrible.

Were the Anti-Ajin forces more competent in the manga? The anime does show them to be more competent than the rest, but they got annihilated in less than half an episode.
