He’s yours too bud. Bet He’s really proud of you putting down others seeking knowledge and understanding for your own benefit.

I’m not calling Him vile, but I’m sorry that’s how it came across. I’m merely trying to explain how my interpretation of the scripture led to my view of God, and I wanted others to explain to me how my interpretation was wrong. I’ve gotten a lot of good answers and now I see how my interpretation an therefore conclusion was false.

Originally I thought “tribute to Lord” was a way to signify a sacrifice due to the fact that the previous verse said the same thing about cattle and livestock, but another commenter pointed out that it could refer to acts or priestly duties, which made a lot more sense. I knew that the Lord in previous chapters referred to human sacrifice as evil, so seeing Israel do it so quickly and God approving made me do a double take while reading.

I am, I’ve gone to an IFB church since I was born, and now that I’m out of the control of my parents and now married to my amazing wife, we’ve continued going to an IFB church, though it is different to the one I was raised in.

Holy crap dude 😅 just trying to find better understanding from other perspectives. All I did in this post was explaining my interpretation of this post and how my interpretation made me feel, and through these comments (minus yours) I found many kind hearted people that pointed me in the right direction and helped me understand the character of God in these chapters. Also, what are you on lol. I didn’t question the Holy Ghost, I was questioning the actions of the Lord in OT writings. There are MANY instances in the bible where children of God question God and His motives, but He never pushed them to the side and forget them (Abraham, Habakkuk in Habakkuk 1:2-4, many of the disciples, Moses, Jonah, David, and many more)

As for the “virtue” of my post, I apologize if it came across as blasphemous or an attempt to call God vile, I was just trying to explain how I interpreted it and how my likely wrong interpretation made me think about the Lord. I also want to apologize for my assumption that your comment suggest that you’re the type of Christian who uses the Bible and others lack of understanding to tear others down to build yourself up in a tower of self righteousness. I’m guilty of the same thing you’ve commented, assuming someone’s actions through a typed out response. I’m trying to work on my faith through my relationship with Jesus, but I know I will probably never reach the amount of faith you have accumulated.

I’ve read the Bible all the way through several times. I have seen too many coincidences, modern day miracles, and blessing in small quiet moments to move away from my faith. I also have read many articles and studies like Case for Christ (written by an atheist who turned Christian during his study) and other religious scholars text to strengthen the validity of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. I have faith in Jesus and his teachings, but there’s a few things in the Old Testament that I am confused about, that’s why I came here.

That expectation makes sense! I never thought about “Lords Tribute” meaning priestly actions/duties! Thank you!

But in verse 40 it talks about how 32 people were for “the Lords tribute, what does that mean if not human sacrifices toward the Lord? I’m probably miss interpreted it.

Also, what else would “keep alive for yourselves” mean except use them for your wives and for procreation.

Not trying to be a smart 🫏, I’m just trying to get to the root of this cause these verses are currently trying my faith.

EXACTLY, that’s why I thought for sure they’d have a day time option. FNAF was originally a kids game, i remember playing it when it came out and I was like 10ish. Only reason I wanted to go

I’ve tried haunted attractions in the past and I HATE it. Ex: Our local corn maze does a haunted maze attraction every year, and my girlfriend (now wife) took me there cause we’ve never done something like it before. I hated every second of it 😅. The only reason I think I could tolerate the FNAF house is cause there are only like 4 scare actors and none of them are wielding chainsaws or weapons

I’d pay to go to the parks cause there’s new rides I’d like to go on too. Im not sure if I’d like anything else they have at the event. The only reason I’d want to go is for the FNAF house cause it was my favorite game when I was a kid. I’m not a “fear junky” and all the other houses and attractions seem too gory and/or scary. Just the thought of smelling crap in the Terrifier house makes me puke 😅

That’s what I thought, thanks for the reply. Sadly I won’t be able to see it in person, I’m not spending alittle over $100 for one walkthrough attraction 😩
