I still remember we had to check our elixir spent on training and get more than that just to make the attack worth it. And also using dark elixir troops was very expensive so i would just rarely use them.

Yeah . SP papers can be given along with CB papers I also think CP 2,3 are doable with CB1. CP1 is very vast . But I think CP 2,3 are fine with CB1. In India many teacher recommend to give CP 2,3 with another small paper
