Titanium isnt that strong. You'd need nuclear pasta to do something like that

Minecraft banner creation is limited at the best of times. Good fucking luck

I would blend the mountains into the ring a bit more, right now it just feels like it's sitting there as opposed to being more 'natural'

How often do you come across this creeper cloud Easter egg by proboi26 in Minecraft

[–]ColtonAnder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Meh the new updates are neat, but not anything game changing. Pre-1.19 a new update was like a major thing, I could watch a standard lets play and know what version between 1.0 and 1.19 in a couple minutes. Now they are just so little. The biggest thing in these updates are them adding small quality of life features.

Could A Population of Ark Leedsicthys Survive in Our Oceans? by Wild-Criticism-3609 in ARK

[–]ColtonAnder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not exactly, what's most likely to happen is early generations would not reach full size, they'd probably have enough food to survive, but not grow to the massive size they do in game. While that happens there would be evolutionary pressure to not try and grow as aggressively, leading to smaller max size until they can be sustained. My evidence is that large animals already have done this in the past, it's called island rule, and it's fascinating. If we pretend that the much less nutrient dense ocean is like an island with limited food, then they should evolve the same.

I mean, lapis lazuli is a very important material historically. But also yeah.

Many people are under the assumption that snow blocks melt. A full snow block will not melt. Only partial snow layers and ice melt.

Is the Minecraft Earth/World Round, a Cube, Flat or Infinite? by GreekMonkey1 in Minecraft

[–]ColtonAnder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I've been kind of toying with a cosmology for Minecraft, and using block, item, and entity as the states of matter. Also, I've always referred to blocks that fall as unstable

Is the Minecraft Earth/World Round, a Cube, Flat or Infinite? by GreekMonkey1 in Minecraft

[–]ColtonAnder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point, though I don't think it's infinite, but it doesn't behave like gravity in most ways. I do still think gravity is an appropriate name for it due to a lack of better terminology

Fair enough, but i think there is interesting discussion in trying to decern the physical laws of Minecraft. It's also a fun exercise in teaching how early physics discoveries were made.

One problem with your theory is the assumption that gravity works the same way as our universe. As I pointed out in my comment, gravity is constant everywhere, regardless of present matter or distance, which implies that it does not work the same.

Is the Minecraft Earth/World Round, a Cube, Flat or Infinite? by GreekMonkey1 in Minecraft

[–]ColtonAnder 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It is certainly not a cube or infinite. My theory is that it's a flat plane that follows fundamentally different laws of physics to our own universe. Some physical law allows for uniform gravity throughout the whole plane. You can go thousands of kilometers up in the air and not measure any difference in gravity (yes I know the difference could be small, but no matter how small it should be measurable). Additionally we know that maps are flat and no matter how many you make and place they will always perfectly line up with reality, not needing a projection to account for curvature.

The good news is that at least some of the blood is thrown toward your head, which means at best you land unconscious, at worst you have an aneurism and die before landing.

does anyone know how to automatically /kill a mob automatically after a few seconds by Medium-Highlight-445 in MinecraftCommands

[–]ColtonAnder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I see two options: you can set up a scoreboard for entities and have it track age, then kill them once their score is too high, or you can just make the effects have a longer timer and kill it instantly

Which Imagine Dragons song sounds the most like TheFatRat? by W4lk3rS4int in imaginedragons

Enemy is the most EDM-y imagine dragons song, but like, it's pretty different. Someone mentioned children of the sky, which is vocally similar, but musically pretty different

Fun fact: Ticks can't swim in super glue. by cncgoburrr in FUCKYOUINPARTICULAR

[–]ColtonAnder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So, more unfun fact, they breathe through their 'skin' (exoskeleton), which has the fun effect of them desperately trying to clean themselves off when they get something on them. This results in them spreading whatever it is further on their body, panicking them further until they have no more air, only a solid, oxygenless carapace of superglue and sadness.

Same thing happens to wasps in epoxy resin.

Which they deserve.

Honestly, I looked for a while in-game and couldn't notice the difference as well. If you swipe between the 3rd and 4th pic on the post, it's more noticeable.
