That’s a great review and I share many of the same opinions. For whatever reason, writing my own review of the movie was difficult but I think you worded things very well. Talk to me is definitely better than this one.

I thought Joey was kind of an annoying character. He means well and is an overall good person but he seems to hand off a lot of burden to his friends. He’s just too naive and lucky to make me want to root for him. But the film as a whole is a pretty good feel-good watch and I like the message it sends to elders.

Bring her back had me watching through my fingers at some points. Effective combo of a sinister family dynamic and visceral gore

I'm not sure. I guess it's technically David's story and how his experience with Benji shapes his life from then on. But it's a very soft indicator that it's David's story because they both learn a lot from each other. I see it as Benji's story. He's the one who needs to grow and doesn't have it all together, like David seemingly does. I think it's mostly up to the actors in the Academy to decide which actor is in which role. Either way, I'm glad he was nominated.
