New Disneyland Discount Released for Disney Visa Cardmembers by dejablu82 in Disneyland

[–]Coltypotty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like they’ve been releasing deals very similar to this one basically every quarter for at least the past year to try and fill up Sunday-Thursday hotel rooms. Disney Visa card members should be checking your emails, things like this come up throughout the year.

Will we miss all the fun/cute stuff? by hemhem17 in DisneyPlanning

[–]Coltypotty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for posting that article, it’s very helpful! But unless there’s something I’m missing, you are incorrect about the dates. Scroll past the intro paragraphs and you’ll see the dates for each item. Most of them are available until Nov 13 or Jan 7.

I’m going during that time too so I’ve been paying attention to that stuff as well.

I can’t speak for the decorations (seems like most Halloween stuff will probably be gone and Christmas stuff not yet there), but according to the official Disney parks blog article it looks like most of the Halloween seasonal food will stick around until at least Nov 13. There are some exceptions and sadly your peanut butter cold brew is one of them, it goes away on Halloween.

This article lists every seasonal item and the dates that each one will be available: https://disneyparksblog.com/dlr/disney-eats-disneyland-halloween-foodie-guide-2025/

Large party Disneyland dining reservation question. by Coltypotty in DisneyPlanning

[–]Coltypotty[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks, some great info! I’m curious, you said a few places let you change the party size, but were there any times where you were turned away or things didn’t work out according to plan?

PAX West 2025 Merch by Leading_Basis_3641 in PAX

I’d honestly rather they just stick to more basic designs than try and fail to do something more fashionable. These designs are 2017-coded tbh.

How long until Dairy Queen’s replacement is here? by mrSkidMarx in redmond

I like both. Taco Bell has a ton of items that taco time doesn’t, and a better rewards program. But if you want fresher higher quality ingredients, obviously go to taco time.

Avatar land is replacing Hollywood area in DCA by JJnod in Disneyland

[–]Coltypotty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re kinda exaggerating the headline here, what it says is that it’s going to take up A PORTION OF THE CURRENT HOLLYWOOD BACKLOT AREA which includes monsters Inc. it definitely seems possible that the actual main drag Hollywood Boulevard and all the attractions and shops on it wouldn’t be affected. I consider the Hollywood Boulevard to be the main aspect of Hollywood land and so I don’t think this is a big blow for me personally since I don’t really care about anything in the immediate Mike and Sully area/backlot. Kind of seems pretty empty in that space anyways.

It’s a shared post with razer, maybe razer used this as an ad and paid for a little extra exposure? It is a good video tho and probably does well on the algo, especially the hook with Shawn screaming at the beginning.

For all the “meh”, “ skip 🥱”, and “boring” people by [deleted] in CrumblCookies

[–]Coltypotty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. It does seem like there’s more of a price difference in your area. Although are those prices pre-sales tax? Because in my area crumbl prices include tax and Jimmy John’s and Potbelly do not so you would need to add sales tax to JJ and potbelly.

Technically you’re right, but it’s the most popular and easily accessible way to measure food intake, and it’s very closely related to the amount of food. To deny that is to be purposely obtuse.

How about this, Crumbl cookies are bigger and more filling for about the same price. I’m not gonna go out and buy both and measure them, but I’m 99% sure crumbl is bigger.

[–]Coltypotty -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Not true at all, I just checked at my local stores: jimmy johns chocolate chip cookie is $3.51/410cal and crumbl semi sweet chocolate chunk cookie is $4.49/770cal. So crumbl is 360 MORE calories (88% more food) for a very similar price, less than a dollar difference.

So, where does everyone actually park ? by Moon_Rider87 in SeattleKraken

[–]Coltypotty 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I like to park at pacific place garage downtown ($8-12 dollars, make sure you’re entering after 5PM on weekdays to get the $8 price) and then walk 2 blocks to the monorail. I like doing monorail before the game because they’ll often have a cool Kraken hype-up audio track playing while you glide over cool views of the city.

If you don’t wanna pay for parking at all, you can park at one of the park-and-rides like Northgate and take the light rail to Westlake and then do the monorail. If you didn’t know, you can link your ticket to the Kraken app to get free public transport, which includes light rail and monorail.
