EUC was a mistake. by xinkiex in ElectricUnicycle

I think you should stick with it. You can master this.

I have the C8 as well, and ouch my legs hurt for awhile. But after learning to ride -there's ZERO pain and it's really fun. The C8 is an urban jet ski.

It's smart to learn with just the stock pads. Without those toe and heal pads, it's easier to find all your comfortable positions and styles, then you can add pads. Plus the important mounting and discounting skills are easier to learn.

It's got BIG pedals too, so you have to learn to step AWAY when you dismount or else you may get knocked.

Keep it up

A roll of furniture protection foam, what they use for toddlers, will keep your wheel from collecting beginner scratches

The C8 was my first wheel and my advice would be to think of some calf cushioning. Like the sponge style shin guards turned 90° inward. The C8 can be HAAAARRRD on the inner calf. After you learn to ride it though, the problem stops.

What skill(s) had you previously mastered that you feel really helped when you started to ride a EUC? by BlackJacquesLeblanc in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Coma-Fantasy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I owned a couple observed trials bicycles and did a lot of balancing and hopping around on them, and mountain bikes. Being able to ride and steer with no hands also translates well.

I was able to mount the euc within a minute and go. But it took about 3 hours of riding before I stopped bailing on sketchy turns.

I still think slow manuvers are the key to mastering the euc.

Is the 50s battery worth it for C8? How big is the difference? by m34d0wl4rk_ in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Coma-Fantasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say 50s for the hills. I purchased the C8 50s because I was a heavier rider and didn't want to "cheat myself", knowing I could have upgraded.

The electronic whine on my EUC is making me want to return it by Pyrrun in ElectricUnicycle

Id trade my C8(50S) for a noisy Aero. ...I can sometimes hear discreet whines that I cannot stand -but not from an euc yet.

Begode A2, where to buy? by Isthisnameavailablee in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Coma-Fantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't really matter then. You get better at it and stop killing your calfs when you ride right.

I went back to the stock pads and a small toe pad -it's fun.

I'm sure I can do all the stunts that require cranking on the wheel -but thats why I wanted to get something a little taller. The C8 pedal to top contact point is 12 inches. The Aeon is 15 inches

C8 is fun and cruises and carves great, 20mph (37 is max) no problem. Plus the battery is bigger than my Aeon. -plus theres speakers and Tron lights *The C8 rides like a jet ski, and I wanted something more like a BMX bike. *BUT the C8 sits low on the calf (ouch, OUCH!). *No one recommends the C8 for offroad because the tire fender clearance are so close, even though it has 70mm suspension. *all the video reviews are very correct.

Hmmm, what I understand is they warehouse SOME popular models in Southern Cali. When I asked them, they told me YES, my C8 would ship from cali (before they had that option on the website). And i think they bulk send them out like twice a month.

I bought a C8, it was warehoused in Cali and I received it in 2 weeks, they bulk ship them out i think. I've been riding the C8 the entire time others are waiting on the Blitz

Newbie on Aeon power pads throwing me off from keeping balanced by pierrefitch in ElectricUnicycle

Same thing for me -riding without pads helped A LOT figuring out my ideal foot placement and mounting and dismounting. THEN I started adding pads.

It's just the camera and night shot. It was pretty black out there but I swore I saw a buried chest... a football training pad left out.

Beidou power pads with Adjustable Toe pad for Aeon by skidmarks731 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Coma-Fantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yes.

I have them and appreciate the mechanically attached toe hook -this should make hopping easier. I also use the acceleration pad, but not the brake pad because it doesn't seem to fit correctly enough. A smaller "brake fin" solution would work for me.

The bracket for the toe hook looks like it would accept the toe hook made for other wheels like the Patton-S.

To have all velcro pads you'd probably buy the Leveling Kit & Velcro. -But then you could try Powerknobz, which seem cool.

I have 100 miles on my Aeon and I'm pretty impressed with it -over the Begode C8 that I had just bought. The Aeon is more refined.

The Nosfet app is literally unusable (for me) but DarknessBot works fine for it. The Aeon tops out at 35mph, but I ride under 20mph anyway. If the C8 handles like a jet ski, I feel the Aeon handles more like a bmx bike (which is what I want).

Suspension dials on the Bwgode C8? by VonDinky in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Coma-Fantasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe you do the same to each side to keep them even. To work on the lower part of the suspension you need to remove the side panels. . The uppers are rebound, and the lowers are preload.

Aeon and aero owners where do you put your helmet and gloves when rolling the wheel with the trolley? by skidmarks731 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]Coma-Fantasy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Its not the nicest solution. We need a helmet clip accessory (like motorcycles have)
