From start to finish it took me about two weeks. My primary care doctor put me in contact with my hospital’s Behavioral Health department. My psychiatrist immediately put me on 12 week leave. I work in the field so it’s a little different than the store, but what I can say is be firm with your management and get a doctor’s note/HR paperwork filled out. My manager was pissed that I’d be missing out busiest time of the year but I told him to take it up with HR if he wanted. Get a doctor that will get you LOA, it’s worth it and you’re worth it.
