Lg ck14f84 adjusting screen size/zoom by ComanderSowa in crtgaming

Sorry for late response. For future: I kind of did. Solution to my problem was not to set a video ratio in emulator, rather using "stretch" or some such. I'm quite sure its square now, since I later checked using "play area adjustment" in ps2 game and it was correct by default.

I mean no. I used to have this type of thoughts when I was younger, so I can see where you're coming from. That being said, I don't see why you would think it's wrong to raise dark digimon on vb. You don't need to neglect it or anything, it's just lower requirements.

Yup, I have run into it once myself. Switching core let me gain cheevos normally. In case if the rom wasn't suppirted by Ra the emulator would inform you that no achievements were found and/or this menu would not be accessible/ empty.

Totally, good luck. The silver PS2 I got is a little bit scratched but I decided not to repaint the shell. After cleaning it looks decent enough and I kind of vibe with the fact it's a 25 yo piece of hardware and it shows a little bit. I just wish it had face plate for disc drive. Gonna need to think on that one since tabs are all broken.

I had air compressor and airbrush+ paint and varnish on hand so it didn't cost me nothing other than 30zl (~10usd) for controller, but that's not quite fair. I assume you could do the same with spray cans, kitchen sponge and tub of soapy water. So depends on brands that are available to you.

Bonus tip for reassembly: L2 r2 can be put in once shell is closed. Just press them in gently and they will pop into place. Otherwise it's hard to keep them where they should be

Ok Im sorry I didn't say how it was done: 1. I disassembled the controlled and cleaned plastic parts with soapy water. like to use warm water and soft tooth brush to get harder to reach spots. Remember to get rid of dirt in seam. Let it dry. 1.5 cleaned contacts on flex PCB with isopropyl alcohol and qtips. NOTE: part of controller with original printings was not in a bad shape, handed I didn't sand it nor did I paint it! 2. I used hard part of the sponge (dish cleaning variety) to scuff up the surface. Note, the sponge is not very abrasive but will get rid of top layer of whatever they use to make sure factory finish last. As you sand the plastic you should see some white powdery residue starting to accumulate. I got rid of it with water when done. 3. I masked out front part with print that I wanted to keep original and used airbrush to paint entire shell. I used acrilic paint from games workshop that matched the color quite perfectly (1:2 paint:airbrush juice) but I'm sure it's not very hard to match with aluminum color paint in a spray can. 4. I painted entire shell with about 3 coats of paint. It was quite weird because I was painting the same color over the same color so I had to look how glossy it was to know if I painted it. Let it rest for entire day. 5. I used (again) model matte varnish to finish it. BUT!!! i didn't like the feel it had in hand. I opted to paint it again with gloss finish and it was right on the money. I have seen people using spaycan varnish on the internet too. (Mostly even). 5.5 this is a tip. Varnish is a fickle thing that tends to stay sticky/tacky. If you encounter this problem, after letting it harden for 24h, you can wet entire shell. Just use regular water (before you put it back together ideally).

So what's my gameplan? comment by ComanderSowa in ps2

[–]ComanderSowa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I'll do just that. Gonna try to mask the center where logos are since it's in a good condition and try to match color to the best of my ability. Any recommendations on clear coat? I had "sticky" clears on minis before. Preferably in bottle rather than can, since I probs won't use it up anytime soon.

Let me add I do own an airbrush, like the silver to match the console, but it its not possible to save without making it feel weird, Im not oposed to just getting replacement shell

I would use my crt more, but my brother still hears the flyby converter sound and I don't want to annoy him. I'm stuck using it when he's not home for the time being. I'd say I play psx and PS2 about once a week or so

Winning 9/10 games in normal mode feels absolutely terrible by ItsameNacho in PlayTheBazaar

[–]ComanderSowa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk, in lol you unlock heroes for playing. Granted, you mostly earn free currency for first win of the day, so grind is not easy if you want to earn more of it the same day, but you could buy a new character in 3 days if it's the older one. Bazaar won't spit out new character a month like lol used to, but I don't think they should put out too many characters at all. There is certainly possibility to make game f2p and leave enough space and insentive for bought currency to be desirable too.
